The SpaceOur home is in the heart of Sonoma wine country. It's convenient to everything: only minutes to the beautiful family owned wineries; walking distance to Windsor Town Green; a 40 minute drive to beautiful coastline or walks in redwood forest; and 1 hour drive from San Francisco with easy access to Highway 101. Quiet neighborhood and ample parking. Private bedroom and bathroom in comfortable house. Clean, cozy guest room with queen bed. We have free, secure wi-fi available to guests. Backyard has great deck and garden for morning coffee or an afternoon beverage. You are welcome to use our kitchen but request that you clean up after yourself. We generally provide light self serve breakfast (cereal, bread, coffee/tea). Fresh eggs (.25 cents each) available, dependent on our chickens' output. You may get some green eggs. Do you like Green Eggs and Ham? We are a friendly couple working for travel business. We are enthusiastic about local food, brewery, and wine and happy to provide suggestions for area activities, wineries, or dining.

The SpaceMy two-story home reflects a Mediterranean style that is welcoming and comfortable. It's located in a quiet tree-lined neighborhood and within walking distance near Windsor's Town Green. Your first floor PRIVATE ROOM has a queen chest bed with an elegant fireplace heater for a cozy feel. There's a half guest bathroom on the first floor, and full guest bathroom available upstairs. My first floor room is ideal for a single guest or a couple. Your stay includes full use of the gas BBQ on the patio and kitchen. I'm located in the heart of Sonoma wine country within 10 minutes drive of posh Healdsburg or 15 minutes drive to rustic Sebastopol and close to the spectacular Sonoma Coast beaches. There's easy access to more than six wine appellations. Whether you prefer Michelin stars or foodie's best bets, choose to dine from many nearby restaurants that feature locally produced food and artisan ingredients. Napa Valley is only 30 minutes to the east and San Francisco is about one hour+ south on Hwy 101. Why not slow down in Wine Country's best kept location? I visit the places you'll want to visit, and I actually work in a local Sonoma County winery (7 years) so my wine country knowledge will make your visit memorable and unique. If you're a cyclist, distance runner or triathlete, you'll love my location. From my home, you can run along meandering roads and vineyards, ride the Vineman course or map an easy to epic ride with fantastic views to challenging climbs. Sonoma County has it all. Located in the charming town of Windsor: central to the best of Sonoma County's wineries, including Frances Ford Coppola’s resort and winery; minutes from the quaint, historic town of Healdsburg; about an hour from San Francisco and the Bay Area by car. Regional activities include kayaking and canoeing along the Russian River, hiking in the many state and county parks, and world class bicycling. Central Sonoma County is a true Foodie and Wine Lover’s paradise. Our home offers on-site parking, internet access, cable TV, and a swimming pool. Our backyard deck is a great spot for relaxation, reading or an afternoon glass of wine. Our guests are welcome to use our kitchen and laundry facilities. We are situated on a quiet, private half acre co-occupied by eight chickens (all laying hens) and three cats. We are friendly, accommodating, and ready to do our part to make your trip memorable. The SpaceThis dog friendly country farm house built in 1904 sits on private fenced in 2 acres. Note: A $20.00 a day pet fee applies, which is payed on arrival to host. A close 5 min. drive to the Windsor town green where every Thursday evening in the summer there is a farmers market and a featured local band. The town of Healdsburg is a short 10 min.drive north on 101. A quaint little town (as are all the towns in Sonoma County) full of gourmet restaurants, wine tasting: the town square is surrounded by chic owner operated markets and novelty stores. Wine country (north, east) starts here and no matter which directions you take you will encounter more wineries than one can visit in a day. Lake Sonoma is 15 min. east of Healdsburg where fishing, boating, hiking and picnicking are available. All in all there are 4 lakes within a 1 1/2 hour drive. The Sonoma coast is a 25 min. drive east thru picturesque windy country roads. You can drive Highway 1 in either directions heading south to Gualala or north to Stinson beach. On your way to the coast you might want to stop in Guerneville to visit the Armstrong National forest, a must see for any visitor. Heading south on our 101 freeway is Sausalito a 45 min. drive (a small town on the bay) and another 15 min south brings you to San Francisco! Guest AccessThe bedrooms are located downstairs. One having its own bathroom attached (double bed) the other bedroom (queen) has a bathroom down hallway. Note: these rooms are rented seperately. Very private as our bedroom is upstairs and do not use the hallway bathroom. We also have a private self-contained cottage behind our home that is listed under "Cottage on Farm House Setting." The SpaceFor those of you coming to the area to cycle, participate in our year round festivals and events or just to relax, our cottage is perfectly located and comfortably furnished with a full kitchen, bathroom and comfortable beds. Inside you will find all the necessities of modern life including WiFi, cable television and even a washer and dryer. Outside you have a beautiful covered deck accessible from the living room and master bedroom which overlooks a fully fenced backyard furnished with a BBQ, hot tub and lots of privacy. In the summer and fall months our orchard and garden overflow with fruit and vegetables which we enjoy sharing with our guests. We also have a flock of happy hens (our girls) that love to provide you with fresh eggs (when available). Cal King bed (we've gotten nothing but rave reviews about this bed!), sitting area, cable TV, 32" Flat screen Television, cable, DVD player. Keurig Coffeemaker, super easy to use - directions and coffee/tea provided. Kitchenette - sink, full-size refrigerator, toaster, microwave. Private Bathroom with shower; heated tile floor. In warm weather, enjoy the A/C. Plenty of uncovered parking. We have one very friendly dog on the property. He doesn't enter the studio space at anytime. The Hembree Hideaway is separate from the main house and granny unit. Guests will enter through a shared yard and patio. A private screened-off office is located just before the door entering into the studio and will not be used during your stay. Office not available for use by guests.     The SpaceHouse is just over 112 years old..antiques scattered about, in a nice quiet country setting. Dogs welcome (pet fee is $20.00 a day).     The SpaceThe large, private bedroom has a queen-size bed with ample room for an additional twin bed, added on request. Guests have access to the bedroom and bathroom as well as adjacent laundry facilities. Morning coffee and tea available. A second bedroom with a queen-size bed is available for an additional charge (search Spacious Wine Country Room w/Deck). Both bedrooms share the large, two-sink bathroom with shower/tub. Additional full bath available for guest use upstairs (bedrooms are downstairs). The room is in a spacious 4 BR, 3 BA house occupied by the host, who will be present during your stay. Interesting conversation welcome but not required. The home, with expansive views to the north and west, is located in the wooded hills north of Santa Rosa. The bedroom has a door opening to a secluded deck that borders a thickly wooded hillside. An upper deck affords expansive views of the nearby hills and more distant mountains. It is approximately one mile down a steep hill to the nearest bus line, the only public transportation available in the area. The Sonoma County airport is a five-minute drive. There is ample room to park a car in the driveway. You may store bikes in the secure garage. Guest AccessThe rental is for one or both bedrooms and bathroom only, although there is a comfortable living room available for guests' use. The kitchen may be available upon request. The second bedroom is available for an additional charge. Access to the property is best by car; steep hill makes for challenging walking/biking. Getting AroundPublic transportation is available at the bottom of the hill, about a mile from the house. Rental cars are available at the nearby Sonoma County airport. There is ample off-street parking and secure bike storage. Other Things to NoteHome-brewed ale may be available; just ask. It's fully equipped with new stainless steel appliances, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, frig, etc. Our land overlooks Safari West's 400 acre wildlife preserve and Pepperwood/Academy of Science 4000 acres of open space. The owners of Safari West are our friends, so you are welcome to visit Safari West by mentioning our name. They will likely let you walk around for free. Safari Truck tours are provided for a fee. Check out their website. We are midway between both Calistoga and Healdsburg, as well as Santa Rosa. Ideal location to see all 3. We have wonderful walking trails in the area. They keep the country mice out of the home. For this, we are grateful! They sometimes will interact with the guests if you stay long enough, but generally you will not see much of them.
