The SpaceHello! I live in the upper apartment of a house built in 1905. Downstairs are our elderly neighbors, Bob and Sandy. (Don't worry, completely separate apartments with separate entrances.) It's a wonderful space with a lot of personality! The central room is the kitchen, which is small but adequate (fortunately, since I love to cook!). The bathroom and guest room are side by side off the kitchen. Off the opposite side of the kitchen is the larger living room with attached porch, which is great for enjoying a smoke, people watching, and naps in the hammock. Down a curved hallway are my bedroom and office, so we can give each other some privacy. Guest AccessThe key will get you in the front door, and you will have access to your room and bathroom, as well as the kitchen, living room, and porch. Interaction with GuestsI work full time and I am taking classes, but I am always available via phone or text. There aren't any quirks that I can think of that would really need my attention, but I do frequently use the kitchen, porch, and living room. If you prefer privacy, I absolutely respect the privacy of your room. The NeighborhoodWinooski is the most diverse city in Vermont! It is tiny, only one square mile, but it is packed with some of the best restaurants in the state, parks and nature areas, and a historic downtown that is about 100 yards from my front door. Getting AroundGetting around is a breeze! All of Winooski is walking distance, downtown Burlington is 2 miles (long walk or short bike ride), and there are frequent buses that will take you from my front door to anywhere in the area (search for "CCTA" for fares and schedules). I am a half mile from the Interstate 89, and Main Street in Winooski is also routes 2 and 7 (two of Vermont's major routes). Yes, confusing, but also very convenient!
