The NeighborhoodWe are minutes from downtown Burlington. Winooski is a tiny suburb of Burlington and is very urban and similar to Burlington. It's right on the Winooski River and boasts a beautiful waterfall, old mills, and great restaurants and bars. Waterworks bar and restaurant is a nice, high end restaurant/bar where you can enjoy a nice dinner or drink with a great view over the Winooski River waterfall. Features: 2 bedrooms, 2 queen beds. Urban apartment size kitchen (small stove) basic pots and pans, and dishware. There are so many great places to eat, you probably won't spend too much time inside! Full bathroom stocked with extras in case you forget. Great for 2-4 people. Perennial gardens and summer porch. Perfect home base with easy access to the mountains, the lake, or to explore the rest of Vermont. 10% of proceeds from Urban Vermont go to Nandi Animal Rescue through Yoga Vermont. You are always welcome to make arrangements to come meet the horses, just let me know! Guest AccessThis is an entire second floor apartment, 2 bedrooms, one full bathroom and a kitchen with washer and dryer. The quaint backyard is perfect to read a book in or let your dog play. There's also a small deck to hang out on. Interaction with GuestsI live in town and can be available by phone with any questions or if you need any assistance. Happy to help make your stay great, with recommendations and travel advice. A friend lives in the downstairs apartment and is also happy to help out as needed. The NeighborhoodWinooski has great restaurants, bars, and breweries. Oh and please say hi to our favorite coffee shop owner Tom @ Scout Company. The house is located in walking distance of Beverage Warehouse (so you can get in line for your heady topper) check their website for release times of different beers. The Downtown Winooski website has additional local info, and for more state info or the Vermont Tourism website or the binder in the house. Getting AroundYou can walk to some great spots in Winooski, foodies, coffee lovers, and local beer fans won't be disappointed. There are even some trails for a dog walk or for a run! If you're headed to burlington I recommend a cab, Uber, or car. Many of the mountains, Stowe, Smuggs, are about 45 minutes way and Jay Peak is a little farther. Other Things to NoteThe stairs up to the apartment are exterior stairs and are a little steep. (Not good if you have trouble with stairs.) Noise, It's labeled Urban, because it's quieter then Burlington and it's brick so generally pretty quiet but still an urban environment near stores, sometimes people walking down the street. Occasional plane noise, depending on the wind direction and cloud cover. Please note our area is home to the national guard, when the F16 fighter jets practice occasionally they are much louder then standard planes.

The SpaceMy house on a quiet lane has a welcoming feel, with wood floors, tall windows, an eat-in kitchen and several porches. I have a senior dog who you will meet, and a shy cat who you may not see. (The animals don't go in the guest rooms.) NOTE: I also have a second bedroom available this summer: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/7358025 Guest AccessThis guest room is on the first floor; it feels private and set apart from the other bedrooms, which are upstairs. The queen-size bed gets great reviews! (I bought the mattress in 2015.) Guests share use of the first-floor bathroom with me. My housemate uses the upstairs bathroom and the kitchenette, so the downstairs is usually not busy. Interaction with GuestsI try to offer the kind of hospitality that I've enjoyed as a traveler. I love sharing my knowledge of our little city and Vermont; I'm happy to offer suggestions and help you navigate. My schedule has me out of the house a lot so you will mostly just see me coming and going. The NeighborhoodThis corner of town, two blocks from the Winooski River, is scenic and quiet. The house is on a leafy lane. Just across the river, downtown Winooski offers great restaurants and cafes and a bar that pours the best beer in the world. Downtown Burlington and the waterfront are easy to reach; so is I-89 for getting around the state. Getting AroundMy guests are allowed to park on Chase Lane, and I also have off-street parking. There's a bus stop a block away to get downtown. I can point you to bike rentals and a great local car rental if you need that. Other Things to Note* I have a dog and a cat. * You may meet a few other people during your stay. In addition to my housemate I have a second Airbnb guestroom upstairs (https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/7358025).

The SpaceI look forward to sharing my welcoming 1850s-era house with you. It has a spacious eat-in kitchen, nice living room and little back porch, three bedrooms upstairs and a guest room on the ground floor. The lane feels surprisingly rural for being part of Burlington; we enjoy lots of bunnies and birdsong. Note: the stairs to the 2nd floor are somewhat steep. My lane is one of the few unpaved streets in the city! My guests may park on the lane so don't worry about the parking restriction signs. Guest AccessMake yourself at home in the kitchen, living room, full bath, and spacious guest room, and make use of my wifi. The kitchen is well equipped in case you want to cook. This guestroom is on the second floor. Each floor has a full bathroom. I have two Airbnb rooms this summer; guests in this room share the upstairs bathroom with my housemate, and I share the downstairs one with guests in that room. I have a washer/dryer in the cellar and space to store food in the kitchen. If you have a bike you can store it in my shed. Interaction with GuestsI've lived in Burlington for fifteen years and I like helping visitors find great experiences. I can recommend restaurants , music venues, scenic drives, hikes and other outdoors activities, or services you need to find in town. I am usually not home a lot, but I'm happy to help with any planning or navigating while you are here. The NeighborhoodMy lane is surprisingly quiet given its closeness to busy parts of town. Four minutes' walk gets you to downtown Winooski, an area with fun restaurants, shops and bars. Other attractions in easy walking distance include a scenic riverwalk with picnic tables, several fishing spots, a great yoga studio, and some trails through woods. Getting AroundTwo buses run on Colchester Avenue, just a block from the house. I have off-street parking but it's also easy to park on the lane. I can point you to a bike rental if you want that. Other Things to Note- I have a dog and a cat. I keep the guestrooms closed so they don't go in and ask that you do the same! - The stairs to the second floor are somewhat steep. - I have a tidy and pleasant housemate. There may be guests in the other Airbnb room too, as noted above.

Original tin ceilings remain in the kitchen and living room. Original maple & pine floors are in the living room. Brand new family-sized clothes washer and dryer are located in the basement. Guest AccessOne-bedroom apartment is accessed by a side-entry, backyard and the basement which contains a new, full-sized washer and dryer. Interaction with GuestsI live on the floor above. During most weeks, I will be available to welcome guests, etc. I know the area very well, so don't hesitate to ask me lots of questions! The NeighborhoodWinooski is a town that is very unique for Vermont. It is culturally diverse and socially diverse, has many very good restaurants. The city is only 1 mile by 1 mile, so it is small, given its size it is packed with culture (for Vermont ;)) Driving into Winooski from Burlington is extremely picturesque. Please see my photos for some views from my house and also of entering Winooski via car from Burlington. Getting AroundThere is usually ample street parking. This can sometimes not be the case during Saturday and Sunday church services, but one never has to drive too far to find parking and I am willing to give you my space if you have any issues! A fit person can walk to downtown Burlington in about 30 minutes and the walk is a very safe and pleasant one, passing by the hospital and UVM campus. There a bus stop across the street one block away and in very easy walking distance. Busses pass every 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the day and time and go into the heart of Burlington. Other Things to NoteAlthough I generally limit guests to two adults, I am open to hosting guests with infants (1 yr and under) and can furnish you with top-rated baby travel crib (Baby Bjorn), a car seat (Diono Radian), a high chair (Joovy Nook) and possible other baby gear for your use for a small extra fee. The SpaceHello! I live in the upper apartment of a house built in 1905. Downstairs are our elderly neighbors, Bob and Sandy. (Don't worry, completely separate apartments with separate entrances.) It's a wonderful space with a lot of personality! The central room is the kitchen, which is small but adequate (fortunately, since I love to cook!). The bathroom and guest room are side by side off the kitchen. Off the opposite side of the kitchen is the larger living room with attached porch, which is great for enjoying a smoke, people watching, and naps in the hammock. Down a curved hallway are my bedroom and office, so we can give each other some privacy. Guest AccessThe key will get you in the front door, and you will have access to your room and bathroom, as well as the kitchen, living room, and porch. Interaction with GuestsI work full time and I am taking classes, but I am always available via phone or text. There aren't any quirks that I can think of that would really need my attention, but I do frequently use the kitchen, porch, and living room. If you prefer privacy, I absolutely respect the privacy of your room. The NeighborhoodWinooski is the most diverse city in Vermont! It is tiny, only one square mile, but it is packed with some of the best restaurants in the state, parks and nature areas, and a historic downtown that is about 100 yards from my front door. Getting AroundGetting around is a breeze! All of Winooski is walking distance, downtown Burlington is 2 miles (long walk or short bike ride), and there are frequent buses that will take you from my front door to anywhere in the area (search for "CCTA" for fares and schedules). I am a half mile from the Interstate 89, and Main Street in Winooski is also routes 2 and 7 (two of Vermont's major routes). Yes, confusing, but also very convenient!

The NeighborhoodVery quite neighborhood is just outside Burlington and just minutes to Lake Champlain, bike paths, airport park and Colchester causeway. At the bottom of our street is a 24 hour grocery store, a rite aid, diner, chinese food, pizza, subway, dunkin donuts, and a bar. Getting AroundOnsite parking is available. There is public transportation available including busses, taxis and Uber. But should be noted that the bus system in VT is rather limited in it's time and route availability. The SpaceThis apartment is in a charming old school house that has been converted into condos. All of the residents are friendly and quiet. The apartment itself has unique charm including stained glass details and hard wood floors. We have to leave town on weekends from time to time and will make the place available when we are out of town. You will have full access to the home and plenty of privacy. There is an old school gym in the basement with fitness equipment, and a nice shared outdoor space as well. The location is the best part! Winooski is a charming community with wonderful options for day and night time entertainment. Want more options? Just over the bridge is Burlington, VT. Burlington is a lively collage town with fun night life, beautiful parks and beaches, a recreation path along the beautiful lake Champlain, and more. We love it here, and we think you will too. Guest AccessYou will have the apartment to yourself for the duration of your stay. Interaction with GuestsWe will be out of town, but you can reach us easily by phone. The NeighborhoodWinooski and Burlington are perfect locations to enjoy art and culture, or to enjoy outdoor adventures close to downtown/city attractions. There are several great bars and restaurants within walking distance. My favorite is the Mule Bar. Great atmosphere and the best burgers! As refugee resettlement areas, there is also a great deal of rich cultural diversity. Getting AroundThere are city bus lines convenient for use and the apartment is located close to the interstate. Uber is a great option in the area as well. Green cab is also a reliable taxi company. Other Things to NoteParking is never an issue. There is a reserved space and plenty of guest parking.
