The SpaceMy home is full of positive energy with a nice relaxing and comfortable ambiance. I do rent out 5 other rooms within the house, so other guests will be on site. However, It is pretty spacious for everyone to find their own private space when needed. I'm walking distance to a hip little area of local farmers markets, coffee shops, bars and boutiques. A public bus stop is right around the corner as well. I am in the center of every major point: 11 miles from the International airport, 3.8 miles from the Amway Center and Downtown Orlando, 1.6 miles from the Orlando Museum of Art, 2.9 miles from Rollins College and Winter Park, 12 miles from Universal Studios, 15 miles from the Convention Center, 18-25 miles from Disney properties, and 14 miles from University of Central Florida/UCF. Guest AccessYou can make yourself feel right at home. You have access to all of the home. There's a key code to enter. I have free wi-fi and there is free parking on the property in front of the house on Cole st. Interaction with GuestsI am currently living off the property but you can text or call me anytime. I frequently stop by and spend the day working on the property. However, there will be other guests staying in the home that you mingle with. The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood is very safe and quiet, and my home is walking distance to hip eccentric cafes, bars and boutiques. We also have our local farmer's market around the corner every Monday night with live music, artisans and food trucks. The East End Market, Audubon's first co-op business, is also a 5 minute walk away. It is a must to check out and either have a craft beer, sample local greens, get some freshly baked bread, pick-up amazing chicken salad or get your own fresh squeezed juices. We also have Lolas Sushi, Stardust cafe, and great italina/pizzas at O'Strombolis within a few minutes walking. You'll love Audubon park. I live near an elementary school so it's a quiet family area. Lots of locals are out and about riding bikes and with their families during the day. It is a very pleasant neighborhood. Getting AroundTransportation: The best way to get around Orlando is of course by car. But if for some reason renting a car is not an option for you, there is UBER and LYFT. As long as you have a smart phone and have the downloaded apps they are very easy and cheap to get around town with. They usually charge around 1.15 per mile. UBER is more for international travelers and LYFT is for US residents or those who have a US number. I also run a shuttle service between 7am and 10:00pm around my work schedule for $1.00 a mile to most places and set prices for main attractions. You just need to arrange times with me beforehand to make sure I am available. Uber is not allowed to pick-up from the airport and the cheapest taxi charges $40.00. However, I can arrange pick-ups and drop-offs for $25.00 to the airport; Universal each way is $20.00; and $30.00 for Magic kingdom each way. These are pretty much the same or cheaper than Uber prices. If you drive yourself, the parks cost $20.00 a day to park a car. Orlando is very spread out and most of the main attractions are about a 30 minute drive from each other. The traffic during rush hour can be problematic. Universal Studios and International drive are the most central locations to almost all of the theme parks and shopping. My home is only 12 miles from this central location and very easy to get to directly. Orlando has an inexpensive bus system, Lynx. However, it is very slow and unfortunately not the smoothest mode of transportation. You can find the bus routes and schedules online. Just lookup Lynx bus Orlando or golynx. Other Things to NoteI have two sweet pets that live on the property; A small dog, niña and cat, named pattington. Niña may bark at the door for a moment, but then she'll calm down and be very quiet. She will not bite. Pattington is an inside/outside cat and hangs out in the common areas but is not allowed in the guest rooms. Most people who usually have cat allergies are never bothered. I keep the place pretty clean of hair and pet dandruff. Also, Pattington loves his belly rubbed.

The SpaceThe guest house was originally built in 1940 and is completely private from the main house. It includes a queen size bed, pull-out twin sofa, full bathroom with walk in shower, full kitchen, and washer/dryer access in the garage. It will comfortably sleep 3, but 4 is possible with a queen size blow up mattress you can use instead of the pull out twin sofa. The air is fully conditioned with a brand new air conditioner that is super quiet and keeps the space very comfortable. It also doubles as a heater during the colder winter days. But let's be honest, there are only probably 5 of those the entire year! The room is equipped with a 61" HDTV with DirectTV and Amazon Fire TV which includes Netflix, Hulu, etc. There is also wireless internet access. The kitchen is complete with a refrigerator/freezer, dishes, pots and pans, stove, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. There is a wooden deck, fish pond, patio and grill in the fenced in backyard. Guest AccessYou will have access to the full guest house which is completely private from the main house and the backyard which includes an outdoor deck and a patio with grill. The guest house has a keypad deadbolt so you don't have to worry about carrying around a key. You will get the code to the door once you confirm a reservation. You may also use the washer and dryer in the garage if needed, just let me know. Interaction with GuestsI'm pretty hands off as a host. Once you get in, we respect your privacy. I'm always available by phone or email or a quick knock on the door though. The NeighborhoodOrwin Manor is one of the older neighborhoods in Central Florida. Giant oak trees line the streets, all with sidewalks. There is a park 2 blocks down the road with a playground and large grassy area. You can walk to Park Ave and College Park, which are both full of great shops and restaurants. I am a stone's throw from I-4 which is the freeway that will take you to to Disney World (21 minutes), Universal Studios (13 minutes), and the Orange County Convention Center (19 minutes). Rollins College is within walking distance, and UCF is a quick 20 minute drive. The Florida Hospital is 1/2 mile from my house. The SunRail train stop is also there which will take you to downtown Orlando for $2 each way. Getting AroundThere are various bus stations and SunRail train stops within walking distance. Uber and Lyft are also great options that a lot of people use. There is free parking on both sides of the street I live on. I'd recommend renting a car though as Orlando is a very spread out city and bus/train routes can take up a lot of your time.

You have access to all of the home(except the downstairs living room which is my private workspace, since I work from home). There's a key code to enter. I have free wi-fi and there is free parking on the property in front of the house on Cole st. Interaction with GuestsRecently, I am very busy running multiple businesses so I barely get to meet and greet my guests. However, when I have free time to just sit and relax, I enjoy mingling and chatting with everyone. Sometimes we just sit and have a beer or coffee. Other times if we are all busy we get to briefly say hi and go about our day. Every experience is different but everyone usually enjoys it. The NeighborhoodI live near an elementary school and it is a safe, quiet family area. Lots of locals are out and about riding bikes and with their families during the day. It is a very pleasant neighborhood. Getting AroundTransportation: The best way to get around Orlando is of course by car. But if for some reason renting a car is not an option for you, there is UBER and LYFT. Great for active urbanites & professionals looking for a superbly sophisticated but very quiet and private urban oasis. (Please have relatively complete profile before submittal of requests to stay). Guest AccessThere is a front balcony overlooking a lovely little park with an outdoor grill should they wish to use it. While I am available throughout their stay to answer any questions, generally their peace & privacy is respected. The NeighborhoodWonderful to be able to walk to fabulous shopping and dining and nightlife. A real rarity in Central Florida. Also parks and lakes abound. Very close to downtown and yet known as a highly affluent and safe destination given the proximity to the urban setting. Getting AroundSunrail is a 10 minute walk away. Also a Lynx bus line is a block away. A very bike friendly community with several urban bike trails. While the Winter Park downtown nightlife is just several blocks away, should you need to go further, cabs come to his area extremely quickly (usually within 10 minutes or less of calling) and can take you to downtown Orlando for about $12 plus tip. Extremely convenient. Why pay for parking? Other Things to NoteThere is a coin laundry in the garage ground level guests are welcome to use.
