The SpaceA very comfortable beach house only a few hundred metres walk to the Skenes Creek beach and approx 5 minutes by car to Apollo Bay. There you will find many cafes, restaurants, shops (including surf and excursion shops). Around the area are many forest walking trails where you might see some wildlife such as koalas, wallabies, echidnas, parrots of many hues, gigantic tree ferns etc - there is plenty to do in the surrounding areas. It is a surfer's and fisher's paradise and I will be delighted to share my local knowedge with you if you wish. The room has a queensize bed, plenty of cupboard space and a very tranquil and beautiful view from the window. Bedding and bath towels will be supplied. The shared bathroom has a separate shower and bath and the toilet is also separate. You are welcome to share the kitchen as well. There is a staircase from the front door to the main level of the house. My name is Josh, I am in my early thirties and laidback. I mostly live by myself except when my girlfriend, who lives in Melbourne, comes to stay. I also have a small dog called Rufus who is very friendly. If you have a dog travelling with you it will be welcome also, though my garden is not fenced. I love the sea and snorkelling, fishing, fossicking, some gardening and so on. My house's view of the beach, ocean, and natural vegetation is panoramic, there are large french windows and a balcony that both run the length of the house - the peace that comes from it all is a bonus. Please come and share and experience it yourselves! Guest AccessGuests usually have access to most of the house, lounge room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and toilet and of course the large deck with it's supreme views (arguably the best in Skenes Creek, overlooking the ocean all the way to Apollo Bay and also the Otway ranges' green hills behind). My master bedroom is the only room in which guests are strictly not permitted and is even monitored by camera. Interaction with GuestsI am often available for guests to interact with, sometimes I even take guided tours or take guests fishing/snorkelling/hiking etc. All of which usually needs to be arranged beforehand. Other Things to NoteBeing totally at home in the kitchen I do sometimes take special requests to cook dinners, which can be anything from something fairly basic all the way to 3 course meals and even fine dining. You could say I specialise in seafood, Italian and Asian cuisine the most, but fusion is my real specialty, though I'm usually able to whip up almost anything one can think of...

Fisheye9 loves pets and is pet friendly. Fisheye9 is ideally located along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria Australia. This purpose built Disabled Accessible, wheelchair friendly accommodation is just 5 km from Apollo Bay, and the main shopping strip, offering a selection of restaurants, cafes and supermarkets. Living Area: The open living area features ocean views, gas log fire, flat screen TV, DVD player and a selection of DVD's. Ocean views can be enjoyed from the living room. A deck is easily accessible where you can enjoy ocean views and a Bar-B-Q. Cooking: Full kitchen, with gas stove, electric oven, microwave & dishwasher. Bar-B-Q available on deck. A selection of cooking utensils are provided. Bedrooms (sleeps 4): Queen size bed in the master bedroom with lovely views & two single beds in the smaller second bedroom. So you don't have to deal with phone calls and be worried about arriving at a specific time, which is sometimes tricky when traveling on the Great Ocean Road. Guests often under estimate how long the trip will take, particularly if stopping to take photos. We come and go a lot from our home next door, but are always available by mobile to assist with any needs or questions you may have. We want your experience to be one that you greatly enjoy and will come back and see us again!! If we are here we always enjoy meeting our guests to say hello. We very much want to respect renters privacy so we leave it up to you the renter if you'd like to do a quick meet and greet!! The NeighborhoodWe love the area, because it is so close to the beach, an easy stroll. But we are also surrounded by luscious native Australian gum trees which encourage beautiful king parrots and rosellas and occasionally the odd koala. It is a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood but very accessible to Apollo Bay and all that the Great Ocean Road has to offer. Getting AroundA car is really ideal if wanting to sight see. Apollo Bay is only 5 km away, but there is minimal public transport. Taxis are easily available. Car rental is available at nearby large cities. Apollo Bay can be reached by V-Line train and bus. Other Things to NoteThe yard is fenced if bringing a pet and pets are welcome inside. The property is designed to be completely wheelchair friendly and accessible. The SpaceA classic Australian 60's style beach house. Right across the road from the ocean with great views, this cosy little shack is open plan, light and bright, retaining it's original style and furnished in a relaxed retro style. Located on the Great Ocean road half way between Lorne and Apollo Bay. It's the perfect location to explore all of the attractions along the road or just kick back and enjoy the peace of the surrounding forest, walks on the beach and look for the many Koalas and beautiful birds that hang out in the trees here. There are only 10 houses in this lovely secluded spot so you can really get to enjoy an Aussie beach/bush setting. There's a great open fireplace for cosy winter stays and a bar-b-que and outdoor table and sunbeds for summer. The house has a fully equipped kitchen, TV,DVD player and internet access. The closest cafe is at Kennet River (2 minutes by car) and there is a great cafe and gourmet pub for meals at Wye River (12 mins drive). The house has a queensize bed, tucked behind the fireplace, where you can wake up to the sunrise over the sea. The open plan design means that the house is ideal for a couple. But for larger groups there is a bungalow in the back yard with a double bed and a single bed. Please note that the house is in original un-renovated condition. It is comfortable and has lots of retro charm but if you are looking for 'hotel style' accomodation it is probably not for you. Guest AccessThe house with all it's facilities. It is important that you read the information regarding finding and accessing the house before you arrive as there is limited mobile phone and internet access in the area so you may find it difficult to contact me if you have a problem. The NeighborhoodThe area is remote which makes it a lovely place to relax but there is little or no mobile phone reception here. If you need to get reception the best place is to drive a few minutes towards Apollo Bay and stop at the Cape Paton look-out where you will get good reception. Getting AroundThe house has a folder full of local attractions and places to visit. Other Things to NoteIN WINTER you may want to use the fireplace. There is firewood under the front balcony. There is a flue for the fireplace which you release by pulling on the chain hanging down the chimney so that the smoke can escape. The SpaceRooms are part of the monastery where the priests used to live. They are simple, clean and comfortable - please see the photos. Linen and bedding (sheets, donnas, pillows) can be supplied for an additional $180 but please bring your own towels. Please confirm 5 days before you arrive if you are bringing your own bedding. Price paid is for a maximum of 33 guests who can all sleep comfortably in our 15 bedrooms which are situated around a central courtyard. Camping is available at an extra cost of $20 per guest per night - regardless of how many are staying in the main section. Please confirm before you arrive how many campers will be coming, the places for campers are limited. Children under 5 are not included in the total. In the main large dining and lounge room there is a wood combustion heater as well as a split system air conditioner/heater. If you would like to use the wood heater (for a bit of romance!) then you will need to bring your own wood. We supply small kindling. We are an energy conscious property and are preparing to switch to hydro electric power mid 2017. Guest AccessA very large kitchen. Gas cooking on two commercial stoves with 12 gas burners, 1 gas oven, 2 electric ovens, grill and plate warmer. Also a dishwasher and two new large 540 litre fridges with freezers and 2 jugs, 2 toasters, rice machine, blender, mix master, juice machine. Lots of large pots, trays, bowls, wine and champagne glasses, everything for cooking and eating for around 40 guests. Complimentary tea and coffee for guests. The SpaceLast minute bookings welcome! Seacroft Ocean View Cottage is situated at the back of a former monastery that was active from the early 1940s until 2011. The aspect is spectacular with views both East and West along the coast and out to the ocean. The cottage is set at the top of a large lawn providing ample space for children to run around. There is a large trampoline for children only. The whole property is set on a farm of 15 acres which is on the Great Ocean Road. All linen and towels are supplied, please bring all other personal items. There are 4 very effective heaters in this cottage, one in each main room, as well as a Tastic heat light in the bathroom. In addition to this there is also a wood combustion heater that can be used ONLY by prior arrangement and if you are experienced with one and have managed one before. We can supply small sticks for you to help light it (upon request only) but you will need to bring your own wood which can be sourced at any of the local service stations or supermarkets. It is ideally placed just 2km inland from the Great Ocean Road and 20 minutes from Apollo Bay, offering the best of local ocean beaches and unspoilt rainforest. The farm is wonderfully diverse and includes rich green pasture, two creeks, several dams, native bush and fern-lined gullies. It borders the large Otways Main Ridge Conservation Reserve rain forest and hosts abundant native animals and birds, including koalas, wallabies, bower birds and wedge-tailed eagles. The farm produces the highly sought after Black Perigord truffles. It also produces grass-fed beef and lamb, free-range eggs and pork as well as a wide range of fruits, vegetables and berries. Adjacent to the Otways National Park, the cottage is on a working beef property of rolling pastures intermingled with dense, native temperate rainforest.
