The SpaceA taste of Real Asheville! This Arts and Crafts cottage is located in possibly the most popular area of Asheville, Montford. One of the most beautiful and largest historic districts in the state of North Carolina, filled with beautiful landscaping and structures, many of which were built between 1890 and 1925, reflecting Victorian, Tudor, Colonial Revival, Arts and Craft and Georgian architectural styles. My home is 2000sq ft and provides lots of privacy. Decorated with many beautiful antiques and works of local artist, has hardwood floors and rugs and is filled with lots of beautiful natural light. There is a half bath on the first floor. The fully stocked kitchen makes it very convenient for you to prepare meals and the dining room can seat up to 6-8 people. The dining room also has an antique pump organ for those musically inclined to enjoy. Almost an acre of fenced yard provides fun for you and your pets. Relax spending time swinging on front porch swing, dining on front stone patio or enjoying the private backyard stone patio with gas grill, fire pit with seating, raised beds with fresh herbs and flowers in the summer. The yard is surrounded by large majestic oaks that provide shade and beautiful fall colors. Off street private parking for up to 4 cars is provided close to the house. It is located within the 6 foot privacy fence, you can close the gates for complete privacy. The house is located literally minutes from Downtown (walk-able), Moog Fest and The US Cellular Center. Also within a few minutes’ drive are The Biltmore Estate, The Grove Park Inn, River Arts District, great hiking from the Blue Ridge Parkway, rafting on the French Broad River and several beautiful golf courses. The Western region visitors’ center, located less than a mile from the house is packed with information about Asheville and Western N.C. attractions and activities. The Center hosts a wonderful local farmers market in the summer. The neighborhood also is home to several fantastic restaurants, Nine Mile Caribbean, Todds Tasties Café for a delicious breakfast or lunch and Chiesa Italian. The Montford Park Players put on performances of Shakespeare's works each summer in our outdoor theater within a walk of the house. I have lived in Asheville 20+ years and know the area very well. The SpaceBest of Both worlds...Nestled on a private dead end mountain road, yet only 2 miles from downtown...Experience Asheville's natural beauty by day and it's hopping nightlife easily from our beautiful home retreat. The cottage is attached to our larger home, but has its own private entrance, balcony, bedroom, bathroom, mini kitchen and living room, as well as private off road parking. There is a comfy queen size bed in the bedroom and a fold-out futon in the living room. 1-4 adults can fit comfortably. Kids are also welcome. This is a legally permitted 'Homestay' by the city of Asheville. Our permit # can be found in the pictures. Guest AccessYou will have access to your own space, including a mini kitchen with a large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, etc. There is a tv/dvd, free wireless internet access as well as access to a private deck overlooking a meditation garden/fountain. Interaction with GuestsThat is up to you...You will have your own private space, but we would love to meet you if you like. I am a massage therapist and my girlfriend is an acupuncturist. We would be happy to share time, info about our city and possibly even a sunset hike or a waterfall excursion, just ask us...We know that most guests have a filled agenda already, so we tend to leave you to it unless you reach out to us. The NeighborhoodThis home is perched on a hill with some views of downtown and the mountains. Best neighborhood in town...quiet, safe, and walking distance to beautiful hiking trails, the botanical gardens, UNCA, the weekend farmers market, a spectacular sunset & mountain view, and plenty of great eateries are all within a 10-15 minute walk. Try walking over to 'Zen Sushi' and 'The Hop' Ice Cream on Merrimon for a great night. Or our local hangout, 'Asheville Brewing Company' for the best beer, pizza and $3 movies every night. No need to drive. Getting AroundIt is so easy to get around, by foot, bicycle or by car. We are only 2 miles from downtown. Uber rides are also available for about $6 to downtown. There is also a convenient public bus walking distance as well. Airport transportation can also be arranged. (just ask us). Other Things to NoteWe have an adorable baby girl (born in October of 2015). She has a great temper but she also does have her moments. You may hear her momentarily, but we live in a separate part of the house so her noises have never been a problem with previous guests. I just like for guests to know ahead of time.

The SpaceOur log home is only 8 minutes from downtown Asheville and popular West Asheville. We are very close to the city but our property has a very private retreat feel. Our home consists of three bedrooms with 2 full baths. Two bedrooms are downstairs. Larger Downstairs Room This is a very spacious room that is divided into two sections by a room divider. One side of the room has a brand new Queen sized bed with a pillowtop, Serta mattress. The other side of the room has a spa area with a massage table. The massage table is for my use only. This bedroom has access to the patio and the outdoor hot tub. Smaller Downstairs Bedroom This room has a very comfortable, firm, queen, memory foam bed. The room adjoins the main bathroom. Upstairs Bedroom This is the more private of the three rooms which overlooks the pond and waterfall. It has a queen sized memory foam bed with a pillowtop mattress. The room also has a private bathroom. Upstairs Open Loft This is our daughter's play area that we keep separate from the rest of the house. We ask that you respect that we have it closed off and do not use this section of the home. Kitchen The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped with a refrigerator (with water and ice dispenser), dishwasher, glass top stove, oven, convection oven, microwave, coffee maker (coffee grounds will be provided) and a toaster. The kitchen has plenty of counter space, dishes, mixing bowls, cookie and muffin tins, pots and pans for making all of your fabulous meals. You will also find herbs, seasonings and oil to help you to complete your meals. There is one wall of cabinets and a hutch that is for our use only. The cabinets are clearly marked on the inside and we ask that you do not use items in these cabinets. Covered and Open Outdoor Decks Outside there are two very large decks for entertaining and relaxing. One is a covered deck that has a glass table with 4 chairs for enjoying a meal. At the other end of the deck there are 4 outdoor chairs to enjoy a slight mountain view of Reynolds Mountain. This is the perfect place to cool off from the hot sun or to protect yourselves while enjoying the cool rain. The back deck has a seating area with a pergola covered with wisteria for shade. Under the shaded pergola is an outdoor patio set with a couch, two chairs and a table to relax and read a book. On the other side of the deck there is a patio table that has 4 chairs with an umbrella. Both tables have views of the pond and waterfall. It is nice to sit out there at night and listen to the frogs and the insects croaking and buzzing in the background. On the other side of the pergola is the private hot tub for a nice relaxing dip. Fire Pit The fire pit is the perfect place to relax in the evening while listening to the waterfall and nature. Don't forget your wood, smores and fun campfire stories! Guest AccessOur guests will have access to the entire home (with the exception of the loft), the tranquil front and back decks, the hot tub, and firepit. Interaction with GuestsWe will visit with our guests during check in to give them a nice overview of the place. We may stop by again to do some yard maintenance depending upon how long their stay is. We will give plenty of notice before we stop over. We have a very large property (1.25 acres) that is divided into two sections. One section has the main cabin that is for your use. The other section will be used by us as a place to stay while our house is being rented. Our camper is located behind the garage down a hill that cannot be seen. This is for your privacy as well as ours. The NeighborhoodI love the neighborhood because it is quiet and private. Our land is a little over an acre, so it really allows for privacy and tranquility. Getting AroundThere is a bus stop up the road but not in walking distance. You will need a car or bikes for getting around. Other Things to NoteThe large room on the main floor has a massage area already set up for those who would like to add a massage treatment to their stay. Let me know in advance so I can make arrangements for your massage. You are welcome to check out my website at (URL HIDDEN) I have over 15 years of experience. The SpaceHi! We are Joanna and Josh! Our business is called "Asheville Glamping" We aim to give our guests a unique travel experience with our whimsical vacation rentals! *Only a few of our listings are on the airbnb website. Follow us on INSTA ashevilleglamping and check out pictures of our other sites and glamping adventures! Come stay in an awesome 1955 Spartan Royal Manor-the Queen of Vintage Campers! The Silver Bettie is equipped with all of the modern comforts with decorative tributes to the 1950's atomic era! The Bettie also features a brand new 4 person round hot tub :-) Our Spartan was manufactured in 1955 by the Spartan Aircraft Company who made their start making war planes during WWII. After the war Spartan began making these huge luxury rolling caravan's. The first Spartan Camper was made in 1948 and the last Spartan was manufactured in the early 60's before the company closed it's doors for good in Tulsa Oklahoma. The Bettie is similar to an airstream, but with MUCH more headroom and space inside and with even more history! The Spartan manor has one private bedroom with a very comfortable new memory foam mattress and a living room with a futon to sleep a total of four guests comfortably. The Spartan has a bathroom with a regular flush toilet and a roomy shower with gorgeous newly tiled subway tiles and a vanity with a round pedestal bowl sink. We removed the small water heater that was original to this trailer and replaced it with a 40 gallon tank- so you will never run out of hot water! :-D The Camper is stationed on private property in a neighborhood that is just 5 miles from downtown Asheville and only two miles from Asheville's most popular area, Haywood rd in west Asheville! A beautiful custom metal fence makes the Spartan yard your own private vintage paradise! Have breakfast and coffee on the deck while lounging in retro tulip chairs. The inside of the Spartan has everything you need to be happy and comfortable. Comfy linens and sweet vintage quilts and bedding along with towels are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook including a restored 1950's Philco refrigerator to keep your groceries and drinks cold in style. We have had the sink, cooktop, and refrigerator refinished in a fun vintage turquoise and red! The cabinets are stocked with cups and glasses from the 50's! Enjoy eating your meals on the cool vintage formica table with a boomerang top and retro metal edging (even the legs were refinished to match the refinished turquoise kitchen sink and cooktop- it's all about the details!) There is a brand new AC unit to make sure you stay cool too and heaters to keep you toasty! Speaking of toasty....enjoy sipping on a cold beer (or soda pop) around the fire pit at night, while taking in the stars or roasting some marshmallows on a stick :-) We love vintage campers and have spent over a year lovingly restoring and remodeling this amazing vintage glamper-she's come a long way and the results are phenomenal! We know you are going to love the Bettie as much as we do! LOCATION: We are just 2 miles from Haywood rd-Asheville's hippest part of town! Search "On Haywood" to see Haywood roads cool breweries, many restaurants, and live entertainment options! Please note that the Bettie is on it's own chunk of private property that is visually separated from the rest of our property with a 8ft fence- we live on the property but you won't see us beyond our initial greeting unless you need anything :-) The Bettie has a beautiful new 8ft tall fence so you can enjoy your privacy whether hanging inside or lounging on the porch outside of the Bettie! The fence is not completely enclosed around the Bettie and is open where the driveway enters and on the far side of the Bettie leading down to the fire pit area. The Neighborhood surrounding the Bettie is typical of rural appalachia. You will see mobile homes and other houses on the half mile long road that leads to our private drive. We know all of our neighbors by name and they are all very nice friendly folks. The Spartan property itself is private, but we want guests to know that though private, this camper is not on a mountain in the middle of nowhere :-) We have over three acres of property here and we think it's a really beautiful place for being so close to town! We currently have two other fully outfitted bell tents that we rent on the opposite far corners of the property and are listing with airbnb. We also have a very fun outfitted Tent cabin and our 1965 Airstream! We respond to bookings and inquiries in less than 24 hours, but we respond to almost all of our inquiries in less than an hour, and we will send you the Silver Bettie instructions as soon as the reservation is made :-) Please feel free to contact us with any questions about the Silver Bettie or Asheville! Guest AccessThe entire Bettie and the area surrounding it are yours for your stay :-) Enjoy the Bettie's own private hot tub and fire pit area. Interaction with GuestsWe are available if guests need us :) The NeighborhoodAsheville Glamping is just minutes from down town asheville and only 2 miles from the booming West Asheville and haywood road- uber is available. We love our neighborhood because it has a woodsy feel, but it's so close to downtown! Our 3 acre property is in a neighborhood located just two short miles from popular haywood road in west asheville which is lined with breweries and fantastic eateries! We provide all of our guests with a local guide with our favorite places to go in the area, including everything on haywood road! We are just 5 miles from the heart of downtown Asheville. ******The neighborhood is typical of rural appalachia- aka not wealthy ;-) You will see older model mobile homes along the road to our property. PLEASE keep that in mind if you are looking to stay in the middle of nowhere or in a higher end part of the city. The last thing we want to have are guests who are picturing a high end resort with rolling acreage to come and be disappointed by the neighborhood surrounding our land. That's no fun for us! As you can read in our reviews (more reviews can be seen under our profile, we have more than a hundred) - our guests LOVE our glamping options! - no one has ever been disappointed with our actual property itself or our fabulous accommodations. :) We have another 15 acre property a little further from downtown that is in a more country pastoral setting. Although neither we, or our neighbors have chandeliers, we are all nice people who appreciate respectful guests. In spite of stereotypes: Our neighborhood is very safe. We rent out other Vintage trailers and glamping tents on this property as well - all glampsites are generously sized, but please be aware you will not be the only ones on the property. We ask that guests keep the noise level down at night. Quiet hours are 10pm to 8am- please respect other campers and our neighbors by abiding by our quiet hours :) Please also note that some of our neighbors keep chickens- goats- and even honeybees. We ourselves have baby chicks right now pictured in our photos (we do not have roosters but there are two owned by neighbors) :-) Getting AroundYou will need a car Other Things to NotePlease note again that we can not allow dogs or any pets - not even our own 3 doggies are allowed in our vintage campers- thanks for understanding!

Enjoy a swim in the pool or make a fire in the fire pit in the front yard. It is situated with a great view. Meander along the farm road and end up at the post and beam barns to interact with the horses. Interaction with GuestsWe have had guests come in and sit in the kitchen of the main house and we have had guests we hardly see. We are present on the property, but we try to give our guests a lot of "space". The cottage is very private even though it is situated a hundred feet or so from the main house. The NeighborhoodThe Beaverdam Valley is a special place in North Asheville situated just below the Blue Ridge Parkway with incredible sunsets and views. It has lots of history and lots of good people. What I love about it is that we live in a rural setting but are very close to downtown Asheville. We have wonderful views and lots of wildlife and are only minutes away from almost everything we might need. Getting AroundThere is public transportation, but one must hoof-it to the nearest bus stop which is at least 1/2 mile down the road. We have had guests use taxi and uber service, but most guests use a car. Parking is always available right at the cottage. Other Things to NoteNo children under 8 years of age. We have lots and lots of animals here on our farm and they are all free-roaming (except the horses). Please come enjoy ours, but we have a no pet policy for Lucky W Cottage. We are sorry for this, but for the safety of all the animals (yours and ours), we think this the best policy. Please do not allow any animals into the cottage.

The SpaceThe house sits at the end of a cup-de-sac. Callie lives upstairs but privacy is complete with own entrance. The house sits on a lot of land and feels very private. The NeighborhoodSince I grew up on Cherry Lane, in the house next door, I have many fond and magical memories. Today, it still holds that magic. It's a family centered neighborhood and folks appreciate slow driving on Cherry Lane's small street as there are kids who actually play outside! My grandparents bought the three acres in 1945 because a double rainbow hung over the eastern view. 10 Cherry Lane was where they lived until my family moved in with them. Four kids and two parents living in the upstairs at 10 had my grandparents moving quickly to build their dream house. 12 was designed by a protege of Frank Lloyd Wright and is a one-of-a-kind style with plenty of light and outside areas for calm meditative moments or kickball. A garden provides fresh heirloom tomatoes, herbs, beans, corn and squash you are welcome to enjoy and use if cooking. Getting AroundThere is a bus route right at the entrance to the neighborhood. By car, you can turn left out of Cherry Lane and take an immediate left at the light, drive to the bottom of the hill, take a left and follow the River Road to 12 Bones, Bywater Bar, the River Arts District, and many other spots along the river. You can also take the River Road to Broadway, which will lead you straight to town. Or, you can take 19-23 and get to town in a flash. Other Things to NoteThere is a full sized mattress that is kept in the owners closet downstairs that can be pulled out for a third person. There is also a queen sized blow up mattress. $25 will be added for each additional person over allowed two for downstairs. There is also a full kitchen with a coffee maker, coffee machine, full size refrigerator, and a four burner stove and oven. Outside is a small grill.

The apartment boasts a fully stocked kitchen (stove top, microwave, refrigerator, though no oven), a plush queen size bed, a private bathroom with shower, leather love seat, large closet, outdoor hammock, off-street parking, and a private entrance with covered porch. Idyllic Beaver Lake is a half-mile walk through the neighborhood (no lake view from apartment). A the lake, guests can fish (catch and release only), walk/jog (1.5 mile loop), picnic on the large grassy areas, and/or enjoy the sunset. As your hosts, we can make recommendations for fun events happening during your stay including free music festivals, wine tastings, plays and performances, hikes close by, artist showcases, among other options. This studio apartment (approximately 400 square feet) feels spacious with vaulted ceilings, a great porch, and the view of trees. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee pot (with coffee), and stove top (no oven). We've stocked the cabinets for light cooking, and we keep some condiments in the fridge. Linens are included with this rental. We live upstairs, so if you need anything please just knock on our door. Otherwise, we will allow you to enjoy the total privacy this studio offers. Though we have never had guests mention hearing us upstairs, we want you to know that we are a family of four (and one of us is newly walking). Getting AroundA city bus stop is a close walk away. Cars and walking / biking are the best options. Our driveway is typical of the area: It is steep. Guests can park at the top of the driveway and walk down the hill to your porch or you can park right in front of the path to your porch. There is room to turn around in the driveway so that you can avoid backing up the hill. Other Things to NotePlease leave the studio in the same condition you found it. If you require supplies that are not available, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you. We have a small outdoor cat that lives on the property (Midnight), but she does not go inside the rental space and linens for the rental do not come in contact with the cat. Most guests never even see our cat. She prefers to bask in the sun on our front porch or to disappear into the woods to do what cats do. Guests must be able to navigate stairs. There is electricity- with outlets to plug in devices and lighting in the tent. The area around the fire pit is also lighted for your convenience. Free firewood is provided. Interaction with GuestsWe give our guests their full privacy yet are always available if you need us! The Neighborhood***To whom it may concern: We are operating a legal rental. Our property is covered under zoning as a campground. In August of 2015, Asheville has started to enforce the ban on short term rentals that are located within Asheville city limits that are in areas that are zoned residential- our properties are zoned "open use" just outside of Asheville city limits, in West Asheville. ******The neighborhood is typical of rural appalachia- aka not wealthy ;-) You will see mobile homes along the road to our property. Usually the few who have negative things to say have not read through our accurate description and therefore have false expectations- no one has ever been disappointed with our actual property itself or our fabulous accommodations. :) Although neither we, or our neighbors have chandeliers, we are all nice people who appreciate respectful guests. In spite of stereotypes: Our neighborhood is very safe. We rent out Vintage trailers on this property as well - all glampsites are generously sized, but please be aware you will not be the only ones on the property. We ask that guests keep the noise level down at night. Quiet hours are 10pm to 8am- please respect other campers and our neighbors by abiding by our quiet hours :) Getting AroundYou will need a car. Once you are here you may take a cab into downtown asheville for under $10- Downtown Asheville is a quick 5 mile drive and all the attractions on popular haywood road are just 2 miles away! Other Things to NoteThe tent site is just 2 miles from popular haywood rd in west asheville and just 5 miles from downtown asheville (our property IS in Asheville). The SpaceCharming room with 2 twin size beds, furnished with Victorian antiques on the 2nd floor with view of a lush forest and Blue Ridge Mountains in season, and the sunrise if you are an early bird... There is a closet with hangers, a dresser and a nightstand to store your clothes and belongings. Your own private bathroom with tub/shower combination is next to your room . We have central air conditioning (HVAC). The house exudes old fashioned charm, warmth and coziness. It contains an eclectic mixture of art, crafts and mementos gathered during the years I traveled all over the world as a translator for the United Nations. Large back deck for relaxing, overlooking woods and gardens offering lots of privacy. Classic rocking chair front porch. Breezy screened sun room for reading or enjoying a cup of tea during the warmer seasons. Over one acre of wooded property: wild turkeys, rabbits, opossums, swallowtail butterflies, dozens of birds including humming birds. We are located in a peaceful, safe and private community in North Asheville near ranches and farms in the foothills of the mountains, only a 15 minutes drive from downtown. If you enjoy a morning walk/run, there is a perfect winding country lane just down the road. We have 2 friendly young cats, but they are not intrusive. They are never allowed in the guest room. I'll be happy to lend you a hair dryer, and an iron and ironing board if you need it. We are a non smoking/no drugs household and only host non-smokers. I am environmentally conscious, avoid all chemical and artificial scents, and use only safe biologically degradable cleaners. The bedding includes 100% cotton sheets and cotton blankets or cotton flannel sheets, pure wool blankets from Guatemala and real down comforters during the cooler season. All my laundry is naturally air-dried on a clothesline in the garden the old-fashioned way, and it smells wonderful! I offer a complimentary breakfast, if desired, of seasonal fruit and home-baked goods (mostly organic) with coffee or tea. LGBTQ friendly. NOTE: Since the guest room is on the second floor and there are steps on the hill to reach the front door, the house would not be suitable for someone physically impaired. Guest AccessYou also have full access to the living room with a sound system, kitchen, breakfast room, sun room, and all porches and grill on the deck. The other rooms are private. Interaction with GuestsI love entertaining, enjoy chatting with guests and sharing experiences, but I am not invasive and respect my guests' privacy. I usually retire to my study in the evening to prepare lessons for my students. The NeighborhoodOur North Asheville neighborhood is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and consists of small and peaceful communities in a woodsy area, with a few farms and ranches among the hills. The individual lots are large (over 1 acre) and afford privacy. Guests have repeatedly commented on how quiet and restful the house and surroundings are. If you are looking for a relaxing stay after the exuberance of downtown, this is it ! Getting AroundPreferably you need a car, but UBER is available here. Other Things to NoteI can lend you a yoga mat or you can go to our wonderful Asheville Community Yoga Center 10 minutes away in Woodfin. It's a donation-based non profit studio where you give what you can afford. All the instructors, coming from all the other yoga studios in Asheville, practice karma yoga in generously teaching completely for free. They offer up to 15 classes daily as well as special community events and wellness workshops.

The SpaceRustic ART studio with guest bedroom, living room, partial kitchen bordering a 10 acre field. Private, less than 10 min from downtown Asheville. Perfect for new-age natural outdoor yogi artist bohemian types. Art studio/guestshack modified modular separate from our house, come & go as late as you want. Must make booking for 4+ to open 2nd bedroom. NOT suitable for guests needing 1st class accommodations. LOOK AT PICS & READ FULL LISTING! Click on more! 1-2 guests = 1 bedroom 3 guests = 1 bedroom + bedding in living room 4 guests = 2 bedrooms 5 guests = 2 bedrooms + bedding in living room (To open 2nd bedroom, just make reservation for at least 4, even if you have less than 4, if you want the 2nd bedroom prepared). ~A recent review claims "most" our outlets don't work, which is an outright-let lie - they all work except in 1 bedroom where a working powerstrip is available by the bedside table. This person also complained about everything we have fully disclosed in our detailed listing and in pictures. We designed our listing to scare away people just like that. We specifically say in capitol letters many times; "DO NOT BOOK" in our description, to people who don't love what we offer. Like, if you have incense allergies, DO NOT BOOK a place that shows LIT INCENSE in the pictures! If you don't like rustic, don't book a listing that says rustic! Take a little time to review listings and pick a good fit. The guests the night before that capricious guy, loved our place so much they wanted to extend their stay, but had to leave because someone who didn't love our place and *should have booked a different place*, came to replace them. Read the whole listing, look at ALL the pics - and DO NOT BOOK if you're not IN LOVE. Please book somewhere else that you DO love, and leave our space for guests who will love it so everyone can be happy. Thank you. -Another guest complained that we have too much art - as the title states - this is our ART STUDIO! LOL! DO NOT BOOK if you don't love lots of art! OMG! HAHAHA (dying laughing). Peaceful Sanctuary - Not a party house. Located near Spivey Mountain in West Asheville, rural feeling but barely 10 minutes/5 miles from downtown & 2 miles from West Asheville's downtown. Private and peaceful. Certified Wildlife Habitat. Birds chirping and bunnies hopping. Decorated with unique original art, antiques, instruments, plants, nature... Not downtown! In hillbilly land! Will pass ramshackle cacophony of hillbilly dwellings.(URL HIDDEN)-Bedroom has door to outside, full bed, clean 100% cotton sheets, fluffy pillows, robes, slippers, TV (vintage, not flat screen) & DVD's (no cable), books, mints & more. (Main bedroom currently has curtain door, 2nd bedroom has door with lock). 2nd bedroom is music studio that can be transformed into an additional private bedroom -just make the reservation for at least 4 to open 2nd bedroom. *Vegetarian* kitchen has table, mini fridge, sink, hotplate, pots & pans, dishes, coffee maker, toaster oven (no microwave!). (As life long veggies, we are serious about keeping the property vegetarian! Thank you! (vegan is even better, but definitely at least vegetarian!) (we provide simple vegan breakfast items). 文 ஜ 文 ஜ Living room has seating, sunlight, chess board, paper with markers & colored pencils, radio/CD player, TV (vintage!) with DVD & VCR players (no cable). Bathroom has clean towels, basic toiletries, extra toiletries and stocked medicine cabinet. Plenty of fans and open windows but no AC, we love the natural mountain air. Electric heat in winter, electric fireplace in bedroom. Enjoy a campfire outside, a large natural yard, a rope swing on one of our big trees, bird & bunny watching. There's ok reception for your phone, though we haven't got internet extended back there yet. No wi-fi! No pets. Pet and allergy free. Please brush pet hair off clothing before entering. We use Seventh Generation disinfectant for most the house and bleach for the bathroom. Late night check-in's a-ok! Just let us know. PLEASE NOTE: The unit is a rustic, country DYI work in progress. It is set far back from the road with aprox a 400 foot unpaved driveway. This is not a high rise in the city, not the Ritz, - it's a humble DYI unit in progress in the woods; and we are some of the people who "keep Asheville weird" :-) There might be a few harmless "cellar spiders" even though we diligently remove them (they are actually harmless to humans & beneficial as they prey on dangerous spiders). Some tiny ants found their way inside recently and they will come out in a marching line to clean up any food or mess left out -nature's cleaners! We are enjoying co-existing with them rather than eradicating them, they don't bother us. Please DO NOT book if ants coming for left out food bothers you. (Food is safe in fridge). DO NOT book if you have a problem with nature - as a Certified Wildlife Habitat, we are co-existing here! The dishes don't all match, we haven't finished the floor board trim, etc -but we do sweep, mop, dust, scrub, disinfect all switches, doorknobs, handles, wash all bedding & towels, provide cleaned, sanitized trash cans in every room - we work VERY hard to make it as nice as possible. But if you are looking for something sterile or upscale fancy, and would mark us less than 5 stars for *what it is*, please book a much more expensive place! *DO NOT book if you do not find the "value" to be amazing, as we offer a very private, entire place & yard for less than what many hotels & shared places go for, we do not charge a cleaning fee or have a 2-3 night minimum, priced far below Airbnb's price suggestion and provide SO many extra perks & unique atmosphere - only book if you love this kind of value. This is not a motel. *DO NOT book if you have a problem with "trailers", although our place does not have wheels and axles to constitute as a "trailer", some people would call it that, people who should not book with us. LOOK AT ALL PICS. Please check location on map and do not book if location is not 5 star worthy to you! We only want guests who are thrilled with the private, country like location. Be advised there are curves on the roads, like everywhere in Asheville - we are IN the mountains! DO NOT book if you have a problem with curves in roads or driveways. And please DO NOT book if your car head lights are not enough to light the driveway for you - we avoid too much artificial outdoor lights as we prefer star gazing and are fostering fire flies that are rapidly disappearing due to too much outdoor lighting, so we love our unlit driveway ☺ Bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom, 2 porches, peaceful yard. (Sewing room, art room, storage, etc not included). 2nd bedroom with futon bed prepared & opened for booking of 4 or more. (If less than party of 4, but want 2nd bedroom, make reservation for 4 to add extra room). Check-in time is by appointment, as early as 5pm. Please let us know what time you'd like your check in so we can plan our our day accordingly. Someone will be available to greet you along with all the bunnies. We live in a separate house and the guesthouse is in our art/sewing studio behind us, very private. We'll be neighbors! :) While you'll have privacy, it is our personal, private space furnished with personal things, so please be respectful of that. We probably won't, but MIGHT have to use our work spaces (will warn you)(located in separate private rooms in the house) or might need to come in and grab something, but will try to give guests all the privacy they need. Most likely, after we check you in, you probably won't see us again unless you need us. You can reach us via phone anytime for anything and if we're not around, maybe one of our teenage sons can help you with anything you need. We've lived here for 12 years and are glad to answer any questions & give any advice about the area - check the guidebook for some of our fav places :(URL HIDDEN) The neighborhood is hillbilly residential, peaceful and easy going. Enjoy Interaction with GuestsWe travel regularly so Susie and Georgie will more than likely be looking after you throughout your stay. The NeighborhoodThe Log Cabin Motor Court was originally a place where weary travelers would stop and camp for the night on a blanket of pine needles beneath the tall pine trees. Next came the log cabins built by locals and travelers as they passed through. The first cabin built in 1929. These cabins were used in the filming of Thunder Road with Robert Mitchum and are rich in history. Come visit and experience the friendliness of the motor court, sit on your porch and chat with your neighbors or relax under the pines with a good book.
