The SpaceI look forward to welcoming you to my home, a 1 1/2 story, cozy two bedroom house on a quiet tree lined street minutes walk from the Woodstock Square. Built in 1900, recent improvements have been made to the bathroom, kitchen, and outdoor spaces.
The room has a lovely four poster double bed, remote controlled bedside lights, 24" TV (Netflix and Vudu) with remote, Iron, ironing board, hairdryer, large dresser, and oscillating fan. No cable on bedroom TV but local channels + Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Video and Vudu in living room.
Outside there is a small deck in the fenced yard with a table, umbrella and four chairs.
The front deck also has a table, umbrella, and four chairs.
Though you are renting only the room, I encourage you to please feel at home, and enjoy the communal indoor spaces (kitchen, living and dining spaces), and of course, the outdoors.
The kitchen includes a microwave, toaster, (imitation) Keurig K-cup brewer (that is my new favorite thing!), oven, dishwasher, and fridge freezer. Should you wish to cook, you are more than welcome to, providing you clean up after yourself.
For your reference, I have a young son, and three cats (none are allowed in your room, and all 4 are awesome!!) Guest AccessGuests are welcome to enjoy and relax in all common areas, including the Kitchen, Dining and Livingroom, as well as the back private deck, or sunny front porch.
I will give you a house key when you arrive, so that you are free to come and go as you please. Obviously you are to return it when your stay comes to an end ... Interaction with GuestsI am blessed to work from home, and am happy to offer tips and advice on things to do, and places to go.
I am home most of the time, and am happy to answer any questions you may have, or assist with recommendations of where to go, restaurants and bars, or directions.
Please note, I have a young son, and three cats. None of them are allowed in your room. All four of them are awesome! The NeighborhoodMy home is located in the desirable south side of Woodstock, just four blocks south of the Woodstock Square, and minutes walk to Ethereal Confections, Starbucks, Swiss Maid bakery, The Woodstock Opera House, Read Between the Lines, Espressly Leslie, BBQ King, The Woodstock Classic Cinema, and more...
For travellers with dogs, we ask you to clean up after your pets. A wonderful dog friendly walk is minutes away at Ryder Woods Park.
Please note, I have three cats, but they are not allowed in your room. Getting AroundThe Metro Rail stop in Woodstock is an easy ten to fifteen minutes walk away (less than a mile, but timing will vary depending on if you stride, or amble) with convenient service right into Chicago.
Off road parking is available in the driveway. Other Things to NotePlease note, there is only one bathroom in the home, which is shared by family and AirBnb guests alike.
My bathroom rule is to keep the door shut when in use, but to leave it open wide when occupied (pretty simple!).
You will be sharing my house with me, my son, and our three cats. All of us are fully housebroken, we hope you are too! :)
