Interaction with GuestsWe are always here to help as much or as little as you like. We are happy to prepare a picnic hamper to take on your walk at a small extra charge. We can also do your laundry or dry your clothes, if you wish. The NeighborhoodWoody Bay on Exmoor in North Devon is our favourite place in the world. We moved down here from central London and we are loving the cliffs, the sea with occasional dolphin spotting and the walks. Lynmouth, Lynton and Parracombe are only a few miles away offering tasty pub food and a pint of the local ale. Small, intimate, pebbly beach is a great place to relax.
Exmoor is Europe's first international dark sky reserve and as such is an excellent place to marvel at the wonders of the dark skies. Its deep valleys, high cliffs, wide open moorlands and clear streams provide a lot of inspiration and enjoyment. It is one of very few places in England where low levels of light pollution allow you to experience night skies. Getting AroundThe closest train station is approx. 18 miles away, in Barnstaple and the next one - (with direct train line to London Paddington in 2hours) - in Tiverton. From there, you can either hire a car, take a taxi or simply ask us to arrange for a professional transit. If you drive yourself there is space to park 2 vehicles. The closest airports are: Exeter (about 1hrs 15 mins), Bristol (about 2 hrs). London Heathrow is 3hrs 30 mins away. If you decide to fly to Heathrow, you can take Heathrow Express to London Paddington and from there take a train to Tiverton Parkway. We are always happy to help in arranging transport and/or give directions. Other Things to NoteWoody Bay on Exmoor is a beautiful spot, regardless of the weather. We can recommend a number of activities (horse riding, coasteering or surfing) and our Guidebook is full of ideas too!
We provide a set of fluffy towels and bathrobes, so there is no need to bring your own.
