The SpaceThis space has a very open floor-plan with a traditional bedroom downstairs and two distinct living areas upstairs that each have a bed. Neither of the loft bedrooms have ceilings. With radiant heat coming from the floors, two ceiling fans and numerous windows the home is always comfortable with warm floors in the winter/early mornings. The home is also strategically positioned for a beautiful view of Hunger Mountain through 5 large windows. The house also has a claw-foot tub, stand up shower and laundry on site. Guest AccessGuests are conveniently located in Central Vermont, home to Montpelier, the capital of Vermont where there are shops, great eateries, bars and it's fun just walking around and enjoying the beauty of downtown Montpelier in winter! You also have access to 2 ski areas within 40 minute drive. Interaction with GuestsInteraction with guests is as much or as little as you would like. Our mother helps manage the property so you will meet her upon arrival and leaving - other than that she is just a phone call away. The NeighborhoodSet on a quiet, country, dirt road the neighborhood is perfect for a relaxing get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Although you cannot see your neighbors, on a quiet night you can certainly hear them. While there are several ways to the house, a hardtop road is only 1/2 mile away but you will drive a steep road up, or if you enjoy the country dirt roads for a ride, it is 2.5 miles on dirt road from hardtop. Either way, you are 7 miles from Montpelier. Getting AroundThere is no public transportation from Middlesex. Driving it is approx 45 minutes from Burlington Airport and 15 minutes from I-89 and about 35-40 minutes from Norwich University. Other Things to NoteHouse in unfinished - roughly 70% done, and simply furnished. We currently have a traveling nurse in the home, renting one of the 2 upstairs bedroom through December. The 2nd bedroom upstairs is used by my mom off and on throughout the week and is available for when my sister and myself are in Vermont.
