There's are two tasting rooms next door, and access to the Cowiche Canyon via the vineyard trail.
We live across the street, through the orchard. We're close enough to be of service, but far enough away that you can have your own experience. You might see our WWOOFers (folks from the World Wide Opportunites on Organic Farms program) out and about, working on projects. Feel free to say hi, join in, or do your own thing.
We have WWOOFers staying and working 12-acre on the farm with us. You may occasionally see them or my daughter and her friends working on sustainable building and gardening projects. Feel free to explore the property and check out what's going on. Guest AccessGuests have access to a private house with driveway, yard, patio. Feel free to explore the grounds. Small children should be accompanied.
Please note that check-in and check-out times are firm, not flexible. As a functioning farm, and we use the entire four hours between 11 and 3 to ensure that the house and yard are ready for you. We are unfortunately not able to make exceptions based on the individual needs of our visitors.

We certainly understand that many guests will need to check in earlier than 3:00. If that is the case with your group, we strongly encourage you to look for a situation that better meets your needs. Thank you for understanding! Interaction with GuestsMy daughter, Maria, and I live in the big white house across the road and up a long driveway. We run the farm together, and you'll see us both out and about. We will be happy to answer your questions about the gardens, the neighborhood, and the city. The NeighborhoodNaches Heights is a quiet agricultural community 15 minutes from downtown Yakima. The views are as spectacular as the bounty from the harvest.
This house is located on a farm above Cowiche Canyon, amidst the orchards and vineyards that Central Washington is famous for. We're 15 minutes from Yakima, Naches, Tieton, Cowiche & Gleed and 25 minutes from Wapato and Toppenish. Getting AroundThe nearest grocery store is Fred Meyer, visible from the 40th Ave. freeway exit. If you plan to cycle, please note that our hills are beautiful, but also steep. In the fall, there are lots of goatheads. My daughter lines her tires for protection and usually rides flat free. Other Things to NoteThe nearest grocery store is the Fred Meyer just off the 40th Ave freeway exit. There's no public transportation out here, and the hills are quite steep, so if you need something more than wine or beer, a car is pretty much your only option.
In the summertime, there are rattlesnakes in the canyon. Please exercise caution when it warms up... generally from April through September.
