KITCHEN: Guests have full use of the kitchen, including cabinet and refrigerator/freezer space upon request. Help yourselves to dishes, eating and cooking utensils, pots, pans, etc, and basic supplies such as oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, sugar, and whatever condiments and spices we have around.
GREAT ROOM – includes living and dining room: You'll find the TV, and expansive view of the back yard and patio.
LIBRARY: Books and magazines for your pleasure. We subscribe to the daily Wall Street Journal and a variety of other magazines, and have loads of fiction and non-fiction books. You are welcome to borrow whatever interests you. Please return items where found. There is also a desk top Apple computer for your use with a printer. There are doors in the library to close for privacy and reading or computer work.
POWDER/HALF BATHROOM: On the first floor.
WASHER/DRYER/IRON: We have a front-loading washer and dryer and will supply detergent, bleach, and fabric softener. Iron and ironing board available upon request.
OUTDOORS: There is a covered front porch with seating where guest are welcome to use in addition to a large covered 900+ square foot patio in the back with chairs and table for dining or just relaxing overlooking the back yard.
YOUR MASTER SUITE: You can also access your master's suite room via a private outdoor entrance if you prefer via the patio.
EXERCISE ROOM: You have access to a great room upstairs with treadmill, weights, exercise equipment, exercise exercise CD's, Yoga mat, couch and TV for private viewing.
Interaction with Guests: When home, I am usually in the library, the kitchen, or bedrooms. I do spend a lot of time outdoors maintaining the landscaping. The house is large enough, however, that you can enjoy a great deal of privacy when you want. I am available for friendly talk at your pleasure and questions/assistance as needed. Mt Rainier is a 45 mile drive and a fun day trip
Sea Tac Airport is 1 hr 10 minutes away
Seattle is a 1.5 hours drive or you can take the train and get there in 1 hour and 10 minutes Other Things to NoteLocation: I live about 7 miles from Yelm. As there are no restaurants or shopping within walking distance, I recommend that you stop by the local Safeway in Yelm or Lacey prior to coming to my home to pick up food and snacks. I will provide Tea, Coffee and fresh well water. You are about 20 minutes to the Lacey Amtrak Station and about 45 miles to Mt Rainier. Sea Tac airport is about an hour 10 minutes away. Seattle is 1.5 hours and Portland a 2 hour drive.
Restaurants: There are some good local restaurants in town. I recommend the La Gitana which has fresh organic fare and pizza, salads, wine and Italian. It is across across the street from Gordens and I have included the website: (URL HIDDEN) We also have a great new organic restaurant called Bellas Organic Gourmet;“(URL HIDDEN) to Gourmet” and I have included the link: Yelm also has a Starbucks and the usual fast food places to eat.
I also have a mature Cairn Terrier who is friendly that you may see from time to time. I am not particularly interested in rooming a dog. However there is a wonderful kennel about 5 miles away which offers doggie day care for $10 per day and rooming for $20per night. I have a water softener that you may hear running from time to time, please let me know if it is a problem.
Equestrians: My place is 7 minutes (4.2 miles) from Aspen Farms Eventing which is the, home of the first advanced level events for Equestrians in the Pacific Northwest so it is a great place to stay if you plan to participate or attend the events. . Please note that I do not have facilities to house horses, however you can keep them at nearby Aspen Farm. Here is the link: (URL HIDDEN)

Don’t flush grease, oil down the sink or toilet
Don’t rinse coffee grounds into the sink
Don’t pour household chemicals down the sink or flush them
Don’t flush feminine hygiene products, condoms, dental floss, diapers, cigarette butts, paper towels, pharmaceuticals
Don’t concentrate the septic use by taking a shower, using the dishwasher, washing cloths and using the toilet at the same time
