The Space**We are not taking reservations through the end of April due to a family medical concern. We will begin taking reservations the last week of April. Sorry for the inconvenience! -Bree & Cam** Stay in a real house--not a college apartment or flat. Avoid expensive hotels and make your game, concert, or show more affordable! Our Charming Bungalow features a second floor room with a Full-size bed that comfortably sleeps two. A large shared bathroom provides a shower/bath, vanity, and lavatory. Complimentary soaps, razor, and tooth paste are provided. Other amenities can be provided upon request for a small fee. Our Bungalow features a large deck with a fire-pit and a secluded, manicured yard. Enjoy a cocktail outside or join us by the fire in the evenings. We do live close to a major street, Washtenaw, so do expect some road noise during your stay. We do, however, provide a white noise maker for your comfort and sound-sleeping. Guest AccessHigh-Speed Wi-Fi Throughout your stay, you'll have access to our high-speed internet at your leisure. ***High-speed internet was upgraded 10/6/15 with a new modem, router, signal booster, and increased speeds. This change was made as the result of great feedback from a recent guest.*** Off-Street Parking (1-Spot) You'll park off the road in your own spot--with easy access in/out and a quick jaunt to the major highways. Air-Conditioning/Heat We'll keep you nice and comfortable with central-air and heat. Kitchen You are welcome to use our kitchen, but are expected to clean up after yourself and provide your own food and drink. Please throw and appropriate amount of change in the laundry "bin" if you use this amenity. Fire pit If we are having a bonfire on the deck, please feel free to join us in the adirondack chairs! Interaction with GuestsWe work and live in the house, so expect to see us! We love having guests and love the opportunity to get know you. As much--or as little as you desire! We do have 2 big dogs who are very friendly. They love our guests, but are not allowed in the AirBnB room. The entire home is vacuumed daily and thoroughly cleaned twice per week. Our goal is this--Unless you see the dogs, you shouldn't know they live in the house. Cleanliness is next to Godliness. The NeighborhoodCharming Owendale is a beautiful and friendly area to walk. Stroll down to the farmers market or take an Uber to Ann Arbor for the game! Enjoy great concerts and shows around metro Detroit. Owendale is a local neighborhood, most people live and work here. There are very few rentals in the neighborhood. Expect to see people out for a walk or working on their lawns. Getting AroundThe Owendale Bungalow is a 15 min walk to downtown Ypsi; another 10 min to Depot Town. The Bus Line runs nearby and provides access to Ypsilanti (10 mins), Ann Arbor (35 mins), and the Airport. Uber is also available in Metro Detroit, we recommend this for timely trips (17 mins) to-and-from DTW. Other Things to NoteWe have two large pups, so if you do not enjoy dogs, we kindly advise you to seek another place to stay.

The SpaceThis loft is our getaway, and we would love to share it with you. We mix contemporary and antique art and furniture, provide high-end appliances--range, dishwasher, refrigerator, washer, dryer--and invite you to browse our dozens of art books! The space has 17-12' high ceilings, exposed brick, and intriguing remnants of past decor. This is a true loft--one big room, 22 x 80, with one of the enclosed baths dividing the master bedroom with queen-sized bed from the rest. The living room doubles as the second bedroom, with a Design Within Reach "Twilight" sleeper sofa that easily converts into one or two XL twin beds. Aerobeds are provided on request for up to two children. Also in the living room, a 40" flat-screen TV with limited cable, a DVD player and a small collection of titles, and access to Netflix and Amazon Prime. The high-end kitchen is equipped for the serious cook and up to twelve diners. Breakfast basics, including your choice of machine drip, pour-over, or espresso coffee, are provided. We can stock the kitchen to order for an extra charge. Organic, gluten-free, vegan, no problem. Downstairs is our art-music-space, 22 North. It's a family enterprise, housing our audio services business in the back and an art gallery in the front. The gallery shows emerging and established artists in our region--we've been told there's nothing like it in the area. Please let us know if you'd like to host an event here during your stay. Guest AccessThe whole apartment will be yours during your stay. The rest of the building is off-limits, but we would love to give you a complete tour if we are on site. Interaction with GuestsKeyless entry allows you to arrive on your own schedule. We may or may not be on site to check you in and out, but swift assistance is a phone call away should you need it. When we are on site we love to show our guests around the rest of our wonderful building and downtown Ypsilanti. The NeighborhoodDowntown Ypsilanti is an undiscovered treasure. Beautifully preserved historic architecture abounds, and a new entrepreneurial energy prevails. Chic coffee shops and boutiques, hip and classic restaurants and bars (and the nighttime activity you might expect) surround our loft. Behind the block is a lovely stretch of the Huron River and Riverside Park. Walk down elegant Huron and Cross Streets or through the park and across the pedestrian bridge to arrive at Depot Town. Getting AroundThe loft is two blocks from the AATA transit center. Clean quiet buses depart for all parts of Ann Arbor every 15 minutes during peak times. Transport to Detroit Metropolitan Airport is readily available. Parking: Parking is easy though we don't have a dedicated space. Parking meters in front of the building operate M-F, 8-6. Parking is free after 6pm. Overnight parking is permitted. A city parking lot across Huron Street offers free parking, limited to 2 hours M-F, 8-6 but unlimited afterwards. Overnight parking is permitted. DO NOT PARK IMMEDIATELY BEHIND THE BUILDING. The entire area is monitored carefully and unauthorized cars can be towed with no warning and alarming speed. However, just a minute's walk from these private lots, toward the river, there is unrestricted parking in Riverside Park. This is where we leave our cars when we won't be driving for several hours. This area is accessible from the alley behind the building, off of Michigan Ave. Other Things to NoteParking: Parking is easy though we don't have a dedicated space. The SpaceBuilt in 1869, our house is one of the oldest in the area. Your space is a private apartment with a separate entrance. It includes 1 bedroom, (with a large walk in closet), a futon space, fully equipped kitchen -microwave, oven, fridge, blender, toaster, etc., full bath, living room with dining space. All sheets, towels, and soaps are included. Entertainment includes basic cable tv, books and games (Including Catan). We also have a Chromecast so that you can watch your favorites using your Android phone or tablet. We have two air conditioning window units in the space. We can accommodate up to 4 adults. The apartment has a bedroom with a full sized bed, a futon, a large plush sofa, and we can loan a single air mattress if necessary. Families are welcome. We are dog friendly so please bring them (2 maximum) along. Though house is updated and very clean it is still over 100 years old. The house has quirks, noisey (but, charming) steam heat, and the occasional seasonal bug. The character and open space of the apartment outweigh any minor inconvience of residing in an older house. We are avid farmers and pride ourselves on our small organic urban farm on the property. The house sits on a half an acre of land just walking distance from historic Depot Town. Every year we farm maple syrup, all sorts of veggies, and medicinal and culinary herbs. We urge you to explore the property. Come spring and summer you will find us and the dogs outside in the yard more than inside. We build fire pits during the summer months and you are welcome to use them as well during your stay. Heather is a self trained herbalist. She has created a beautiful and incredibly useful perennial medicinal garden here. She uses herbs from her own garden to produce healing balms and soaps for her small farmers market buisness. She travels all over the state teaching eager learners how to be more self sufficiant in healing and hosts herb walks in local natural spaces. She will be more than happy to show you around the garden. Johnny works at a local brewery and right now he is head first into the project of building our tiny house. He is friendly and always up for talking about the build or other homestead projects. The house has other tenants, all of whom are friendly and respectful. We all love being outside in the garden and eat regular meals on the front porch (weather permitting). We occasionally use the space as a community gathering space, both the yard and inside the house. We are never going late and always respectful of potential noise. Our house and the local area is LGBTQ and poly friendly. Guest AccessYou have full access to your apartment. Enjoy the weather on the covered porch. You have free herbs and vegies in the spring and summer from our urban farm and the use of an outdoor grill. Interaction with GuestsWe live in the house so we can be available 24/7. Happy to help in any way. The NeighborhoodNice quiet family neighborhood. Getting AroundWe are walking distance to Depot Town, Corner Brewery, Downtown, Fire & Antique Museum, Food Co-op, coffee shops, EMU. On a bus line to Ann Arbor. Just minutes to 94. Detroit is 30 minutes away for visiting Art Institure, Downtown and 3 Casinos. Other Things to NoteMajor annual events are a huge part of Ypsilanti and Washtenaw County, and are a big reason why visitors keep on coming back for more – from cruise nights and music festivals to art shows and air shows. Ypsilanti alone is home to Michigan ElvisFest, Michigan Brewer's Guild Summer Beer Fest, The Color Run Michigan Eastside, Camaro Superfest, Thunder Over Michigan, the Michigan Orphan car show, Charity poker tournaments… and that's just scratching the surface. Dive in and discover major events throughout Ypsilanti and greater Ann Arbor.

The SpaceThe industrial loft apartment is upstairs of Illuminart, an architectural lighting studio and there is one additional apartment on the second floor. The entire apartment is open with a 3/4 wall separating the living and sleeping area. The bedroom can fit up to 2 people comfortably on 1 queen-sized bed. You will have the entire space to yourself. Guest AccessWhat's mine is yours (almost). Feel free to use the refrigerator and the microwave, as well as any dishes/silverware as needed. I would prefer you not use the stove for any cooking or baking...unless you ask first. I will make room in the closet for some hanging clothes as well as a couple drawers for you to use during your stay. Interaction with GuestsI work for myself and my schedule is quite flexible so I am available most days if you need anything. Don't hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions during your stay. The NeighborhoodMy apartment is centrally located in downtown Ypsilanti and within steps of cute shops, cafes, retail stores and bars. Depot town is a short stroll through Riverside Park. You will be staying blocks away from Eastern Michigan University, and a short drive or bus ride to Washtenaw Community College and the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Getting AroundThe Ypsilanti city's transit center is two blocks away. From there you can easily get to Ann Arbor by taking the #4, #5, or #6 buses. Other Things to NoteIt is worth noting that my windows overlook Michigan Ave which can be a bit loud at times with EMS vehicles going back and forth. So if you are super sensitive to noise, my apartment may not be the best choose. Or bring ear plugs :) There is only one small TV hooked up to an antenna, which only gets local stations. Sorry cable lovers :(. The apartment is on the free city WI-FI, Wireless Ypsi. The apartment entrance is off a public parking lot which offers FREE 2 hour parking between the hours of 9am and 6pm, Monday - Friday. Outside those hours you can leave your car for free as long as necessary. (Or just move your car to another spot every few hours). There are also public parking meters on the surrounding streets. Overnight parking is allowed in the lot.

The SpaceThe room is very sunny and bright with its own private entrance (which has a deadbolt). The whole house has beautiful, gleaming hardwood floors and huge windows. It is very bright and cheery, as well as cozy. The bed is a futon, but it has a mattress topper and is very comfortable. There is a closet that has lots of space for you to hang clothes. The room is large with lots of open floor space, if you would like to do yoga/meditate/work out. Your room is separated from mine by the dining room, so there is a lot of privacy. There is a huge, beautiful backyard that includes a large garden and a fire pit. I hope that you will enjoy the outdoor space if you are here in warmer weather. Guest AccessYou have full access to every part of the apartment except my bedroom and study. You have your own private bedroom, full access to the sunny, beautiful dining room, living room with flat screen, well-stocked kitchen, and full bathroom. If you need to do laundry while staying here, you also have access to the basement although it's a little scary down there, so I wouldn't suggest that as a hang out spot. Interaction with GuestsI am generally very available and responsive to guests, but also give guests a lot of space and privacy. If there is anything that you need from me at any time, don't hesitate to ask and I'll do my best to accommodate you! The NeighborhoodThe house is in a wonderful location! It is a short walk to all of the restaurants and shops in downtown Ypsilanti. We are just a few blocks south of EMU's campus. A block away from Recreation Park, which has a public pool in the summer as well a walking trail, basketball courts, a baseball diamond, a playground, picnic tables, and a community garden. Our neighborhood is very residential, but is still a short walk to plenty of businesses. Getting AroundI commute to Ann Arbor via bus almost everyday. There are three separate bus lines that will quickly take you to Ann Arbor all within a short walking distance (the closest is literally 3 houses down). By bus, going to Ann Arbor takes about 25 minutes. If you have a car, it only takes about 15 minutes (depending on traffic). Detroit is about half an hour away by car, but there aren't many great public transit options to get there. There is plentiful parking. Ypsilanti itself is very walkable, bikeable, and busable. There is also abundant free parking around town including downtown. Other Things to NoteI have a large German Shepherd dog, who is well-behaved. She will bark when you come to the door, but then is friendly. She will not, however, be in your face if you're not interested in interacting with her. Please tell me about yourself and what brings you to Ypsilanti when inquiring about the listing.
