The village gained its name from the surname Zubovic - families with this surname still live here. Our apartment is just a few steps away from a grocery store, bakery, post office and a small church. There are also several restaurants nearby where you can try various local culinary specialties and bars with occasional events.
Novalja center (5 km from Zubovici) is an ideal place for those who are looking for fun. The clubs are located on the beach, only few steps away from the beautiful blue sea. The clubs on Zrce - Papaya, Aquarius, Kalypso, Euphoria, Noa, etc. are visited by about 900,000 tourists from May to September as this is where they can party 24h a day all summer long. These superb open and closed beach clubs are the reason why Zrce is home to numerous festivals such as Hideout, SONUS, Croatia Rocks, Barrakud, Big Beach, HTC Day & Night, MTV DJ MAG, New Yorker Fresh Island Festival, etc.
The Island of Pag is famous for its two extremes. First and foremost, the island is renowned for the production of Paški sir, a pricey-but-delicious cheese and second - wild parties on Zrce beach. The island has many attractions that can cater to almost anyone. There are nonstop parties for those eager to enjoy the crazy nightlife (and daylife) as well as peaceful beaches for those looking for a quiet holiday. While Novalja is known for its beach-driven nightlife other parts such as Pag Town enthusiastically celebrate the local festivals that have endured for centuries.
But there's a lot more to do in Pag than eat cheese and party. Learn about the island's rich embroidery history at the Page Lace Museum in the city centre, go cable wakeboarding on one of the best ski-lifts in Europe, visit "Italian Hole' - an intriguing underground water conduit, rent a boat and explore numerous hidden beaches, jump from a 41 m high bungee jumping crane on Zrce beach, bicycle between vineyards, rent a Quad (ATV - all terrain vehicle) and drive yourself into an off-road adventure on Pag's barren terrain,... The choice is yours! :) Getting AroundIn traffic sense Novalja, and therefore Zubovici (5 km from Novalja), are very easily accessible. Thanks to the extremely good geographical and transit position of the island Pag, Novalja became an important stop on sea and land route maps from north to south Adriatic, which also guarantees its excellent traffic connection to the land. You can reach north side of the island, as well as Zubovici by ferry line Prizna (land) - Žigljen (island). The ferry ride takes only 15 minutes, and it takes extra 10 minutes of pleasant ride to Zubovici during which you can enjoy in picturesque and various sights of the island's landscape. During the summer season, the ferries from the mainland (Prizna) - Pag (Žigljen) sail non-stop, while the rest of the year ferries operate 15 times a day in both directions. You can reach south side of the island through the Pag bridge, which, in traffic terms, makes this island a peninsula. This south transit direction is the shortest way to the island i.e. to Zubovici from the motorway Zagreb- Split (Dalmatina): from Zubovici to the motorway entrance in Posedarje it takes less than an hour by car (70 km). Daily bus lines connect Novalja with almost every part of Croatia. Also, ferry lines connect Novalja with Rab and Rijeka every day. If you are using air traffic, the airport Zadar is 80 km away from Zubovici. From there you can take a rent a car, taxi drive or you can travel by local bus. The choice is yours :) Other Things to NoteThere is no cleaning fee or any other kind of extra fee when you arrive. Please check the calendar for availability and prices and if you have any kind of question feel free to ask. We are looking forward to meeting you :)
