A city-wide gathering held every August, Amsterdam Gay Pride is a celebration of diversity with an emphasis on the LGBT community. Best known for the canal parade in which themed boats sail through the city’s canals and crowds form along the water, Amsterdam Gay Pride is one of the largest events of its kind in Europe and, in tune with the culture of its host city, it’s one major party.
Amsterdam Gay Pride is held across the city of Amsterdam, The Netherlands from July 27th to August 4th, 2019.
Although attendees can find events every day of the week, a few stand out as the main attractions.
July 27th 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m: Pride Walk and Pride Park
August 3rd 12:30pm to 5:00pm: Canal Parade. Enjoy the parade from one of the bridges, or try to book a room (or befriend someone) with a balcony overlooking the canal.
August 2nd and August 3rd, 11:00pm to 12:00am: Street Party
August 4th, 2:00pm to 10:00pm: Pride Closing Party
