If you’re looking for something different to do in Utah, or want to let off some steam with the family for a day of fun, why not head to one of Utah’s adrenaline-pumping amusement parks. From wild rides through to amazing waterparks, we’ve rounded up the best amusement parks in Utah.
Cache Valley Fun Park in North Logan offers family fun for all. The park is home to a super fun laser tag, which is spread across a five-acre outdoor arena and comes complete with full sound effects and a realistic laser light fire mode. The park is also home to a 16-lane bowling alley, several billiard tables, and a huge roller skating ‘jungle’ with music and disco lighting. It’s a guaranteed great day out.
From roller coasters to water rides and kids play areas, there’s so much to do at Lagoon Park in Farmington. The amusement park has something for everyone, from a cool historic 80-year-old roller coaster through to a ride called Colossus: The Fire Dragon which will have you zooming through 65ft loops. There’s also the beloved children’s merry-go-round and teacups for those wanting a smaller thrill. Another favorite is the Rattlesnake Rapids, which is a fun water rapid ride that all the family will enjoy.
If you’re an animal lover, Willow Park Zoo in Logan is the place for you. The zoo is packed with furry and not-so-furry friends where you can learn about the animals and their habitats. You can see animals such as coyotes, North American Elk, bobcats, and kinkajous, alongside creepy crawlies and iguanas, snakes, and turtles. There are also giant birds of prey roaming, with the elusive bald eagle making an occasional appearance. Keep your eyes peeled!
The George S. Eccles Dinosaur Park in Ogden displays an exciting collection of prehistoric creatures, from dinosaurs to flying reptiles. There are over one hundred sculptures in the park, many of which are very realistic, making for a fun day out. Some of the robot dinosaurs move and are brought to life with robots and state of the art sound systems — it will be like taking a step into the world of Jurassic Park. Kids will love the infamous T-Rex sculpture that comes complete with giant sharp teeth.
Crystal Hot Springs is a natural water park and a top activity for families and friends that are looking for a day out in nature. The springs can be found at the base of the Wasatch Mountains. It’s one of the only places in the world that has both cold and warm hot springs located just feet apart. While it’s not an amusement park per se, it’s one of the top activities in Utah and a unique waterpark experience.
Nightmare on 13th is a creepy, haunted attraction in Salt Lake City. It’s known as one of the longest running haunted houses in the United States and has even been voted one of the “scariest attractions in America”, so this certainly isn’t for the faint-hearted. You’ll enter a warehouse filled with dimly lit rooms, and encounter terrifying characters along the way.
Cherry Hill Water Park in Fruit Heights is home to a super fun Pirates Cove Activity Pool that has a large 40-ft pirate ship with a simulated cannon battle. There’s also river runs that are filled with waterfalls, sudden drops and fast turns, along with lazy rivers, and epic water slides that feature fog and lighting. It’s one of the best activities in the state.

It’s also home to one of the world’s largest water playgrounds that has over 12 levels, connecting tunnels, and interactive water toys. There’s also a kids pool and a beach where you can unwind.
Jump N Bounce is an indoor fun center for kids of all ages. There’s everything from bouncing through to playing with giant inflatables and trying to conquer obstacle courses. For more fun in Utah, consider going skiing or glamping and make an unforgettable family vacation.
