1. Rooftop at Revere
The Rooftop at Revere is one of the coolest rooftop bars in Boston. It’s got a large, rooftop bar and at seven stories high, has a stunning 270-degree panorama of the city. You can sip delicious cocktails while sitting beside its rooftop pool at this great day or night venue. Accompany your drink with one of the famous lobster rolls or with one of the sharing plates. The bar has been known to draw top performers, including the likes of Jason Derulo, for rooftop shows, so keep your eyes peeled for upcoming events.
Top tip: You can buy a day pass to chill by the pool during the day, but if you don’t want to splash the cash, the rooftop is free to access after 5 pm.

2. Pier 6
Pier 6 is a rooftop bar located on a marina in the Navy Yard, Charleston. The bar offers a stunning view of the city’s waterfront and has a delicious seafood-themed menu, with calamari being the most popular dish. It also has a raw bar (where you can eat your bodyweight in shellfish) and a private dining room, if you want to mix things up. Pier 6 draws a crowd of all ages making it a fun, diverse place to hang out.

3. Lookout Rooftop and Bar at Envoy Hotel
One of the best rooftop bars in Boston, if not in all of America, is the Lookout Rooftop and Bar and the Envoy Hotel. The bar offers panoramic views of the Boston cityscape and its harbor, and if the weather’s good, you’ll catch a stunning sunset. At night, the bar is lit by atmospheric lamps and is an incredibly romantic spot. The dress code is elegant, so leave your flip flops at home. The crowd here tends to be a mixture of glamorous singles and couples, alongside hotel guests. 4. Airdeck at Coppersmith
Airdeck rooftop bar sits on top of a historic 19th-century building that was once a copper foundry. The bar appears to be floating between the building and its outdoor patio, and while it doesn’t have the same sort of view as other bars mentioned in this round-up, it’s still the perfect place for fresh air and a spot of sunshine. At night, the atmosphere is unbeatable with thirsty punters unwinding beneath a string of lights. There’s a cool vintage Airstream trailer that’s been turned into the bar, so it’s no wonder that it draws a young crowd, including students, artists, and young professionals. The bar serves up delicious cocktails and craft beers, along with a decently-priced food menu. It’s easy to see why its often been voted one of the top date spots in the city.

5. Sky Lounge, YOTEL Boston
Sky Lounge in the YOTEL Boston hotel lies on the 12th floor and offers incredible views of the surrounding Seaport district. The bar has an indoor lounge and an outdoor rooftop, so it’s a great place to go if the weather is looking like it could go either way.
Top tip: Try the giant pretzels served with a cheese, spinach and bacon dip — you won’t regret it.

6. Promenade Deck, Legal Harborside
Promenade Deck and the Legal Harborside is an elegant rooftop lounge with awesome views of the surrounding Seaport district and the harbor. It’s best-known for its extensive wine list and pairing with snacks such as oysters. The bar is a good place to visit at any point in the year thanks to its retractable glass roof and walls.
