What about the beach? The guest house checks all of the city exploration boxes, but our crew thinks it might just be worth it to head down to the Leblon neighborhood and spend a couple nights at this beach house. Aside from the stunning views of the ocean and the super cool design of the house itself, we’re attracted to the idea of a little cooldown time after a few days in the chaos of the city. Another thing we like is that the house has over 200 reviews and a solid five-star rating. We know what we’re getting and we like it.

Luxury Treehouse, Ubatuba
Now, this treehouse could replace the Rio beach house or it could be its own separate adventure. Located three hours north of Sao Paulo, Ubatuba brings us further down the coast. It pushes the price tag up much more than the previous options, but boy is this house hard to turn down. Of course, we love the design and the idea of being hidden in the rainforest with excellent views of the water. We also see an opportunity to get a hiking and nature fix here that the other two spots lack.

Private Beach in a Natural Park, Governador Celso Ramos
Further south toward the city of Florianopolis, we’ve scouted out this secluded beach house and marked it as a standout. What’s so special? We like the idea of the privacy and the private beach that we won’t have to share with other tourists. The surrounding park sounds like a great place to do a little exploring as well. The house itself looks like something out of a magazine too with its sharp design and panoramic views. We’ll probably spend two nights here and use one day to head down to Florianopolis (an hour south) to hit the larger beaches and sample of the local seafood.

Ocean View Loft to Finish Up, Salvador
We’re looking to wrap up our Brazil tour with a little beach time and nightlife in the city of Salvador. A markedly different culture than what you find in Rio, we want to switch it up a bit for the last few days. Although this apartment is on the small side for our group, we like it for its simplicity, location and of course, it’s beautiful ocean view. It will be more of a place to sleep and chill out after exploring and bar hopping.
