Parking at the festival can be difficult as there’s limited space. If possible take public transport instead. If you do drive, factor in enough time to find a place to park.
Biking to the festival is encouraged as the festival site is within biking distance from some of Seattle’s top neighborhoods. Bumbershoot has a designated bike-parking space and bicycle parking is free. Bring a lock!
King County Metro will be running regular routes from Seattle and the surrounding areas. On Sunday 2 September and Monday 3 September there will be a limited metro service due to national holidays.
There are strict rules about what can or cannot be taken into the festival site. Be sure to check the Bumbershoot items list before you head to the festival — you don’t want your expensive glass bottle of perfume confiscated at the door.
Bumbershoot permits re-entry until 8:30 pm. So you can pop-out to pick up some cheaper snacks if you want.
There will be ATMs located throughout the Seattle Centre.
Download the Bumbershoot festival app before you head to the festival. The app includes a map of the festival site, with the location of phone charging stations, lockers, ATMs and bathrooms.
