Aftershock is every hard rock and heavy metal fan’s concert come true. This October, thousands will head to Sacramento’s Discovery Park to witness artistic legends live and uncensored. Not only that, but the festival will offer interactive experiences to get attendees involved and inspired. If this is your first time, AllTheRooms has some advice to help you get through it: it’s gonna be one hell of an experience.
Here’s everything you need to know about Aftershock Festival.
1. First, there are no little names.
Tech N9ne and Marilyn Manson are backups to the headliners. In other words, you won’t be disappointed by the lineup.
2. Crowd Surfing Policies
Sure, they’re discouraged and you engage at your own risk, but no one is gonna stop you. Mosh safely.
3. Grab a locker.
Nothing worse than dragging your crap with you everywhere when you’re trying enjoy the show.
4. Splurge on the VIP Admission
Between the expedited entry, designated viewing areas, exclusive food vendors and bars, it’s worth the extra cash.
5. Don’t stress if you forget something
ATMs, food vendors, and alcoholic beverages will be available all weekend long.
6. Earplugs are always a good idea
You’ll thank us later. Don’t worry, you’ll still hear the music.
7. Be prepared for heat
Sacramento is hot pretty much all the time. Bring sunscreen, drink water, cover your skin in aloe vera–whatever you need to do to beat the sun

Aftershock Festival does not offer camping options, which means you need to find a place to stay before they’re all gone.
