The ever-popular sporting event takes place in a different location every year but this won’t be Atlanta’s first time hosting. In the past, the Super Bowl has taken place in the Georgia Dome, which is now demolished, but, this year the new and impressive Mercedes Benz Stadium is playing host. If you’re in the area to see the game, or just want to soak up the electric atmosphere in Atlanta, here are some of the best things to do nearby:

If you’re looking for a place to watch the big game and weren’t lucky enough to snag tickets, you can see the showdown via the CBS sports TV channel on a big screen. The best place to head is the 656 Sports Bar & Grille in Downtown Atlanta, where you can stock up on hearty snacks and drinks, and even sit outside in the heated outdoor section while watching the show.
