4. 22nd Annual Kickoff to Rebuild
When: Saturday, February 3
Where: 7313 North Main Street, Houston
What: Rebuilding Together Houston is working together with Super Bowl LI to host a community revitalization project. The goal is to rehabilitate the main area of the first self-governing, African American city in Texas: Independence Heights. By creating a legacy of Super Bowl LI in the neighborhood it will restore and preserve its history to support longtime residents in their home. This NFL-sanctioned event will make critical home repairs for low-income homeowners as well as improve neighborhood conditions to strengthen Houston and revive the community.
5. 2017 Super Bowl Breakfast
When: Super Bowl Sunday, February 4, from 8 AM – 10 AM
Where: Marriott Marquis Houston
What: At this exclusive Super Bowl Sunday Breakfast the 2017 Bart Starr Award will be presented to an NFL player for outstanding character, integrity and leadership on the field and off. The event will feature MC James Brown from CBS Sports as well as Tony Dungy, Roger Staubach, Bruce Matthews and more.
