1. El Sabanero Eco Lodge

El Sabanero Eco Lodge is located near to the popular beach town of Tamarindo. The lodge offers a year-round yoga retreat with two daily yoga classes, meditation classes, chakra balance sessions and healthy meals. During your spare time, there are beautiful hikes surrounding the retreat, or you can kick back and relax in the infinity pool. The retreat offers accommodation in rustic chalets that have been built from local teak trees.

2. Samasati Retreat

Samasati Retreat is tucked away on a rainforested mountain close to Puerto Viejo. The retreat sits 1,400 feet above sea level and lies within a tropical ecological reserve, with incredible views of the surrounding jungle canopy. It offers accommodation in rustic bungalows and you can really feel you’re ‘back to nature’ in the heart of the rainforest. There are daily yoga classes in the morning and the early evening, alongside healthy buffet-style meals. In your spare time, you can relax in hammocks hike in the surrounding rainforest.

3. Montezuma Yoga

If you want to take yoga classes amongst the sound of howler monkeys and birds, Montezuma Yoga is the place for you. Set close to the hippy town of Montezuma, you can spend your time at the retreat practicing yoga on the open, wooden pavilion. The resort offers daily Vinyasa flow yoga classes, healthy meals, and surf lessons.

4. Anamaya Resort

Anamaya is a luxury resort set in the mountains above the town of Montezuma. The resort offers incredible views of the ocean and surrounding rainforest and is a beautiful place to practice yoga and really rejuvenate. There are daily yoga classes and yoga instructor courses onsite, plus the resort is known for its relaxing spa, where you can experience a range of spa treatments. There’s an onsite organic restaurant providing delicious, healthy meals, alongside an infinity pool where you can unwind between classes.
