Top 6 Picks for Glamping in Slovenia

← Back to ‘4 Can’t-Miss Glamping Experiences’

Here at AllTheRooms, we’re suckers for the lesser-known off the beaten track-type places. Yes, we love Paris, Rome, New York and all that, but sometimes we crave a little Slovenia in our vacation coverage. We want to send you to the places yet to be explored where you can get out in nature and see things that haven’t been seen by every recent college grad doing a Eurotrip. Slovenia fits the bill perfectly. Vast unspoiled forests, towering mountains, caves, rivers and lakes of greens and blues the likes of which you’ve never seen — the country is made for the “go out and see it for myself” types. We realize that those types want good places to rest their heads while not sacrificing the adventure aspect of their Slovenia vacation. That’s where glamping comes in. Here are our favorite spots for glamping in Slovenia.

1. Glamping in the Cornfields

Wake up in the middle of a cornfield and watch the sun rise over it all. Sounds like a long way from your office right? That’s what guests sign up for at this luxury glamping campsite set on the Croatian border. That and comfortable beds, kitchens, bathrooms, and an on-site swimming hole.

2. Mountain Tents With Rafting Nearby

These tents are about as luxurious as glamping gets. Each one houses two double-sized beds and a sofa and when you’ve had enough of your tent, you can walk to one of the outdoor lounge areas (the mountain views are spectacular) or you can hop in your own private jacuzzi or take a dip in the campsite’s pool. Venture off the campsite for rafting, mountain biking, hiking or fly fishing.

3. Treehouse in Slovenian Wine Country

Cross “staying in a treehouse with a jacuzzi” off the list. That’s exactly what you get when you show up at this glamping spot near the city of Maribor. Aside from the jacuzzi, guests get air conditioning in the treehouse, full breakfast, and wine from the local vineyards. Go out for a hike and enjoy the local scenery. As is the case with most wine countries around the world, the surrounding area is gorgeous.
